Hi everyone, welcome Shirl and anyone else I've missed.
Sorry to hear about the DLA Kass - don't worry about having a good cry - we all have at some stage having to deal with these government eejits. In a couple of days the hurt wears off and if you are lucky it's replaced by righteous indignation and a bit of anger! Appeal and keep appealing until you get what you are due to.
Sorry to say I can't be much help today as I am struggling. I managed to get to the local knitting group on Saturday and enjoyed meeting some new friends, but have paid for it ever since:(.
Pain levels are pretty bad especially my back and my hands are swollen, so can't type for long. I had a really bad night with the dreams again - thank goodness for DH waking me. Someone had tied my feet together, they were hoisting me up by my ankles and I could see them coming towards me with a large sickle to cut my throat . When DH woke me up I felt so sick I could have vomited then and there and it took me ages to get myself sorted out.
So I feel like the wreck of the Mary Rose and I'm off to catch up on sleep before I start typing even more gibberish than normal
Take care everyone, have a good Mondayweird how it becomes part of your dream?

sue I've been really extravagant and have been using a whole bath bomb in my baths for that extra special soak. I have no idea what I'm gonna do when the Lush stuff runs out.
Had a brainwave last night - no chance of getting concil accomodation here, but I wonder if I would be any sort of priority with HA's. Off to hit t'interweb to do some research.
Laters taters
Yes me too cwta, Last night I used one that only had a few silver stars on top, I didnt think it would be too messy. Once in the bath though it exploded with stars and filled my bath with them ! I then remembered why Im usually quite choosy with bathbombs and only pick the plain ones 'cos I had to clean the bath after  it did smell lovely though and so did I lol.
Ive just googled shopmobility, I really need to get to town and theres no one to take me in the wheelchair this week, so I found out what days they are there, its a big van that brings them a few days a week and they are there tomorrow between 10-2 so if Im well enough I will give it a go once my dils done the cleaning. If I manage ok then I can call into Lush whenever I need to :j
Good idea about the HA, I hope they can help you, good luck.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Thank you. All of you. I really appreciate the support. I cried all day then had a nap, woke up at 6pm and told myself to get a grip. My mate is going for tests tomorrow as she has found a lump in her breast and poor Sharon is going through hell and here is me getting all pathetic over some faceless dude who I'm never going to meet not believing me!
I just didn't have the ability earlier to put things into perspective. I'm sorry to be so pathetic. I'm gonna get a bath tonight, have an early night then tomorrow, I'm gonna put a hat over my greasy hair and drag my fat !!!! out of the house and to the nearest CAB. Being in pain may actually help as when I'm having a good day, although I'm not free from pain, I don't remember absolutely all of my symptoms and play down the rest. I think it's a way to stop getting depressed.
Thank you all again, it's so good having somewhere to sound off and get nothing but support.
Right, that's my moan over with.
Yes CwtA, it was you that mentioned cake and I was mighty pi**ed at you today cos you made me eat the last slice last night and I really needed it today
I know what you mean raeh, I can walk but not without discomfort and pain. I can make a meal but I have to buy ready peeled potatoes and ready peeled and sliced carrots. That sort of thing and even then I can't mash the spuds so DD1 does it for me.
Who had tatties for tea? That's what we had too. Decided to make it even easier by getting DD1 to do them in microwave and have coleslaw with em.
Unity, trialia, cwta, saffie, suep, raeh, LW and everybody else that comes on here and gives support and an ear to bend. Big love and kisses to you all. You really are a fantastic bunch :happyhear
Seaside, I hope Sharon is coping well.

Oh and please feel free to cyberslap me if I get all woe is me again
cyberslap... was that was i was offered once before?? ooooh no it was something else
kass its easy to say other people have worse to cope with but sometimes its a little thing that makes it all seem too much and the big things we cope with?? good wishes for your friend tomorrow, i hope she gets good news.
we have the spuds, i nuke them in the microwave and then in the oven for a short time on high to crisp them up
sue that would be great for you to get to lush, remember its hard not to spend though when you are in there
iv just had a message from someone on mse to say my name has been chosen on lush pass the parcel as the prize winner this week so thats evne more for my stash lol

Thanks to everyone for the concern, support and suggestions regarding the sleep problems. It's a very longstanding problem and member who have been around since Fibromyalgia (part 1) will know it first started - after I was hit with a brick by a boy in my class when I was twelve years old.
Yes Raeh, someone did mention about listening to music and nature sounds - it was me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I am going to look at audio books as well. I got a free download when I got my new MP3 player last year, but unfortunately found that the site that gave me the download, isn't compatible with my MP3 . Mind you if I find somewhere that I can download from, I had better steer clear of Stephen King, James Herbert and the like.
CWTA I used to have the Avon linen spray in lavender so when it ran out I just refilled it with lavender essential oil, a little vodka and topped it up with water - it smells exactly the same.
Trialia did you enjoy the SF Ball? Do you get any authors going along now or is it all to do with TV?
Last night was better although DH told me this morning that he'd had to wake me as I was having a heated debate with someone at one stage. I'm so lucky he's a light sleeper and looks so well after me - and all for the princely sum of just over £50 a week! The government certainly knows what it is doing with Carer's Allowance, about the only thing employed in this bluddy country is moral blackmail :rotfl: - it's not even the minimum hourly rate. Funny how you don't see members of the EU flocking here to become carer's init:o? but it's okay for those who've been born, bred and worked most of their working lives here and paid their taxes . Hey don't get me started., I'll take my soap box home with me
.
If only this government would direct resources into searching out corporate tax evaders - they'd be able to pay those entitled to benefit three times over!
Okay it was too big a leap to get off the soap box in one jump - but I've done it now:rotfl:.
Be kind to yourselves - if nothing else it's an example to others how to treat you :T.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Kass, I am sorry about the cake, I just can't help myself. We need cake. It's the law.
You're far more likely to get a cyberhug than a cyberslap - we all appreciate exactly how you felt.
Raeh, you were feeling naughty yesterday! *grin* I now want to know who offered you the summat else other than cyberslap and his email address *grin*.
Unity, there is a site called Audible downloads that tends to offer free downloads and I think I remember that they are in user friendly formats. Or do you have a small CD player you could use? Is there someone who could go to the local Library for you and rent some?
Well done on not drinking the Vodka! Someone had told me that tip about using it with essential oils as an air/fabric freshner.
Thank goodness you have a little star in the form of OH.
Suep, good for you with the mobility thingywotsit. I'm sure it will be tiring, but hopefully the ability to go about on your own for a while will be worthwhile.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
p.s. sharon - thinking of you and sending lots of hugs
bz, we miss you - it's too quiet without you *grin*I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
I did it :j I hired a shopmobility scooter and sped around town shopping
I am tired and a bit achy as the paths in Chichester are sort of cobbly and uneven but it was great. It cost £7.50 for a years membership and the first go was freeafter that its £2.00 for up to 2 hours, I will definitly use them again, I would never have managed it if Id had to walk. I didn't go to Lush today as I still have lots of goodies courtesy of cwta and the grabbit bag she got me :T but I stocked up on goodies at Holland and Barrett and GNC as I've recently become a vegan after being a veggie for a few years. I even got soya chocolate ice cream
I feel like I've got my independance back, there will be no stopping me now :rotfl:
