Welcome to Shirlthegirl
Popping in to say hi while I'm at MIL2B's. Cwta I can see why you'd want to move and as the others have said we don't know your financial situation. Are you staying in that area because of your dad or other reasons? If the prices are higher there and you're not staying for other reasons then would you consider another area?
Sorry I'm a bit useless at the moment guys... I kinda feel like I'm not here enough to comment much, or get into anything, iyswim."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

About moving - you are right raeh. I need to actually take a look at some of the places for rent that catch my eye and see about feasibilty in terms of whether a landlord would take me on.
Trouble is that you actually have to move off the sofa to do that!
I would move back to the SE/London to be near Sis and Surrogate family, as the only thing keeping me in Cornwall is Dad. Maybe sometime ...
I'm glad you didn't take offence at what I said.
I cleared out bathroom today so am feeling like a goor girlie. I may reward myself with cake
I think bz has about 3 weeks before she gets bb. I've suggested playing the "disabled" card for some benefit for once in getting priority, but don't know if she's willing to.
I'm sorry I've missed replying to some people recently - I've been a little "into" myself with one thing and another.
I'll turn over a new leaf from tomorrow. Promise.

Hi, I hope everyones having a lovely lazy Sunday.
raeh I know just what you mean about getting emotional when the pains getting you down. I was going to give you an example but my sister just rang and my minds gone blank now . Im glad you treated yourself to your new furry moonboots, they sound lovely, has all your snow gone now ?
cwta so have you made your mind up about moving yet ? It's a big descision isn't it but if your neighbours are that bad that you dont get any peace in your own home then maybe its for the best, everyone deserves to be able to relax in their own home. I hate moving, the stress last time nearly broke my marriage up so Id be too scared to do it again, saying that Id love a bungalow and could be persuaded to change my mind if one we could afford came on the market.
Im in a lot of pain again this evening after having a lovely day with my little g/s so it was worth it. Im going to have a lovely lush bath in a minute and and go to bed early with my book, oh has fallen asleep in an armchair so I will leave him to itReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Who mentioned cake?
I can't remember (surprise surprise!) who was talking about Jane Asher chocolate fudge cake but I tried getting one the other day but they only had coconut cake so I got that instead. Well the kids made it yesterday and it was GORGEOUS!! It looked terrible :rotfl: but tasted divine! It must have been all the love they put into it.
Oh raeh, I'm sure he isn't. I just thought you needed someone to go "Oh my god, what a b*****d!!"I know what you mean n all cos I do it ALL the time! He isn't one for affection and that really gets me down sometimes but he is a good dad and he aint a bad bloke. Everything seems far more dramatic when you have been in pain for so long. I have had a bad few months and he normally does need reminding of stuff so wasn't expecting anything from him. I was really surprised to find a card on the table when I got up yesterday. When he got home from work I said I was sorry for not getting him anything (too ill to go out) and I wasn't expecting anything from him. He then reminded me that he spent £50 on me last week on dead sea products for my skin after I told him he had to buy me them for valentines.......OOOPPS  And I think he is the inconsiderate and forgetful one!
Right, I'm off to eat the last piece of cake! I just had a quick skim through to see who mentioned it so I know who to blame when my scales break. You know who you are!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Welcome Shirlthegirl I have a friend who was turned down 4 times for DLA, each time she took it to tribunal and still lost although that doesnt happen to everyone, she refused to give in and just kept filling another form out after each refusal, eventually she took the advice from our local support group to go to CAB and someone from there filled the last form in and she got it.
I do hope you are awarded DLA, but if not dont give in and go to CAB, they have people trained to fill out these forms.
I did get help from the CAB in filling out my forms and I have someone from welfare rights representing me at the appeal.
Am i right in thinking that this site could be seen more of a chat room rather than a forum lol?
I'm not a regulare visitor but will keep popping in from time to time, and good luck to you all with ur quests xxxxx0 -

Im glad you have lots of support for your claim, Im sure you will be fine. Let us know how you get on.
As to your other question hmmmmm, what do you others think ? it depends what you mean by forum, if you mean fibro help and advice we are always happy to help someone but we have to be careful after getting our knuckles rapped a few times for mentioning meds etc. We do chat a lot tooso maybe we are a bit of both. Whatever we are it seems to work

Afternoon all.
And before I forget to say it, welcome Shirl.
I hope everyone's had a good weekend; we had a lovely time Saturday night, the meal was great, and all the ladies got a little box of Belgian chocs and a Primula plant to bring away. (Reg the landlord quite rightly reckoned that a wee plant would last longer than a cut rose).:o
But, predictably, I'm totally and utterly cream crackered now. We were supposed to go to a talk on "Modern Magick" last night, but I just wasn't up to it. And, joy of joys, we've got a blokey coming tomorrow to fit the new hot water cylinder, so if I don't get online tomorrow, it's because I'm busy having a nervous breakdown.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Someone mentioned bruising easily - I get that, too. There's never a time when my legs aren't covered in bruises - it's a good thing I always wear long skirts! Mr LW has a theory about how the bruises get there, but I'm not going to go into that!:D
:hello:BZ nice to see you - when you getting that flippin' broadband sorted then? I can't comment on your meds, as I'm on totally different ones - they often give Plaquenil to lupies, and that's one of my main ones. Good luck though.
Sorry I haven't answered everyone's posts individually - but I'm sure you all understand the mega-tiredness that follows a special evening out (Don't worry, it was worth it!:o)
((((HUGS)))) and stay warm, pain-free and smiling!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
