Welcome Margaret you'll find this a happy thread.
Saffie well done on writing to your hubby. I do so hope things start to improve for the two of you now. I'd almost forgotten, but Mr LW went through a period of fearing that I'd break. I had to reassure him that I wouldn't, and that I'd say if something was uncomfortable, and we'd work out a way around it together. I wish you all the best - hey, do something nice together tomorrow.;)
Oh yes - Mr LW did indeed book the table at the Robin Hood. He wants us to get a taxi so that we can enjoy a bottle of bubbly.:o
I'm glad CwtA mentioned Valentines - I hadn't quite got my head around the fact that it's tomorrow (I have a problem with passage-of-time stuff iyswim) so I've quickly made a card on Microsoft Publisher - found a lovely pic of two dragons in the form of a heart online, and put a few stick-on embellishments on.0 -
I've had a nice lazy day and am feeling more relaxed now, thanks for all the kind messages.
Saffie Im glad you've sorted things out with OH, us fibromites dont cope well with stress.
Kass I called social services years ago and asked for an OT (occupational therapist) assessment, an OT came to my house, checked it over and decided what aids I needed to make things easier and got me a wheelchair amongst other things like a rail by the shower and loo etc. It was a few years ago though so I dont know if things have changed, Im sure someone else will know, if not ask you gp. Im glad you enjoyed your group, it sounds much nicer than my local one, I dont go anymore but am still a member and get the monthly magazines.
Margaret Welcome to our group, the brain fog can be really scary but also like someone else said funny too, I think you have to learn to laugh it off as much as possible.
raeh enjoy half term and dont forget to rest
cwta phew, I think we all breathed a sigh of relief whe you said you will still be able to use t'internet when your awayit wouldnt be the same without you hun.

Hope everyone has a decent day today and enjoys their Valentines Day plans whatever they are.
Raeh I do hope you schedule in some rest time for the half term break. I do worry a bit that you maybe feel if you stop that you'll not start again iykwim. I hate to think how tired you must feel sometimes and, to be honest, it frightens me a little for you. Please doon't take offence - I mean it in the nicest possible way. No need to respond.
I think I've almost made my mind up to see if I can move house. I've just had enough of noise from neighbours constantly. It's not such a sensible thing to do financially as I would only move to a 2 bed place and with, ideally, some outside space. But I spend 90% of my time at home and it's about quality of life.
A friend last night talked me into it being the right decision, but I'm wavering a bit now. Maybe the first thing to do is to check the amount I would be eligible for per week when I have to go back to claiming HB and see how it differs from the rents.

Sue thanks love that's really helpful. I shall give them a ring of even see if they have any on-line info.
Hahaha! CwtA, that was ace! You could tell there were tears running down his face from laughter! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Another thing that made me laugh today was Martin's picture. I never noticed the rose before
Hi BZ, glad you managed to get on. Now I know we can't give medical advice here but are you sure it is a definate no no to take the sibutramine with the pregabalin or are they just erring on the side of caution. The reason I say this is because I take sibutramine (when I remember!) and I recently started going to the new pharmacy that opened in my local Asda. Anyway, when i went to collect, the pharmacist said she had only just prepared it as she had to get in touch with my doctor. She said that sibutramine can sometimes react badly with some other meds and that one of those meds were on my script but said that my doc had said I had had it before and was fine with it so she let me have it. Now I don't take pregabalin yet but my doc said she is gonna start me on it and never mentioned me having to give up the sibutramine. It may be an oversight on her behalf but it could also be because I didn't have a reaction to it with the other med. Either way, I was given it in the first place when there was a risk of reaction. Saying that, I have never had a bad reaction to drugs, just usual side effects so maybe if you have had reactions before....... Oh I'm sorry, I'm not saying your doc is wrong, just saying you could maybe double check and find out why you have to stop. I don't want you to go through pain when you don't have to. I know you want to look your best on your big day but it's not for a few weeks, it's months. I'm sure you will look gorgeous anyway

My nice rest yesterday was probably cancelled out by a horrendous night, but I've not done much today, infact not long woke up from a nice nap , Im not in as much pain either. :j
I was surprised to have a card thrown at me this morning, oh usually forgets, we're not doing anything special tonight but he did say when he gets back from visiting his nan that he will make up the new bookcase for me (finally)
I would rather he did that than take me out for a meal. You can tell we've been together years cant you :rolleyes:Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
