I have my occupational Health appointments today one for walking stick and one for wheelchair,
Best of luck - let us know how it all goes.
Am not tired today, more fatigued and listless, but having seen the house through visitors eyes, I would like to get it sorted out - maybe this afternoon.

While they were here and I nipped out to get Chinese takeaway, I said as I was leaving that they should feel free to do any housework while I was out - the reply came back "I don't think you'll have enough bin bags!". Made me chuckle.
LOL well, take it easy, specially with your painful ankle. No-one's going to die if you don't get it sorted this week.

BZ oops on the RSVP date! Time is rushing past! I can't believe we're halfway through July already. Sorry, can't help on the flowers - I'm not that knowledgeable.

Well, I had the lady from the dog-sitting franchise come to visit yesterday evening, and we've been accepted as a host family! YIPPEE:D:D:D:D:D:j:j:j (can you tell I'm pleased?) Don't know when or how often I'll be called on; I've said I'll only take quiet-natured dogs who can walk beside a mobility scooter, but we'll probably be ideal for older dogs who like a quiet life and a good snooze.

    Hello

My daughter is waiting for a diagnosis of Fibro and I wondered if I could ask a question (that you might not want to answer!)

She is having great trouble in going to the toilet (wee). She is wondering if her muscles are so tight that they just won't relax to let her go.

It is causing her great distress as each visit takes a long time, and she has to strain so much, she is using lots of energy just to go to the toilet.

Has anyone else found this and if so is there anything she can take to help her with it. She is 22 yrs old.

    Thanks

congrats lw that should bring lots of enjoyment with it, and cute doggies :)

tenmah i dont have fibro so cant say if it is related or not, but i would suggest a trip to her gp, there are a few things its could be which should be ruled out and doctor is best person both for that or to confirm its fibro related. welcome to the thread.

The dentist referral thing...I have an appt with the dental hospital thingy dept on 21st July, which isn't too far away now. I'll find out what happens about having the procedure then. I do think that when it's gone I'll feel a bit better and my immune system will recover a little bit :)

    Well done!

Loosing the tooth certainly won't make anything worse!

    Good luck with it.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

I'm not having the tooth out, just the tip of the root removed to be able to get rid of the abcess, as they can't get it all out with a root canal. :)

I do sometimes have problems with bladder control - either struggling or feeling like I constantly need a wee. A couple of people on here (from memory) have, or have had, bladder issues. I'm not sure if it's to do with the condition (I have Fibro and ME amongst other things and am 27) or the drugs we have to take..? I would suggest that you seek help from your GP, esp if she is in that much discomfort.
For further help and advice about fibro I know suep advocates this site: http://www.ukfibromyalgia.com/

As for the flowers, for all you who don't know what lisianthus/gerberas look like (which I didn't before this whole wedding business!) here's a handy linky pics :)

    Hi all,

Finally got my neuro appointment through at the weekend - to see the wrong neuro .

Phoned my GP's surgery on Monday and they confirmed: "You should definitely be seeing Dr So and so, you need to phone the hospital and tell them to make another appointment with the correct specialist.

I phoned hospital and was told: "Don't worry you will see Dr So and so, it's just that she's working with this Dr Such and such":rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Turned up today and - well you've guessed it - Dr So and so isn't actually on, but you can see Dr Such and such:rolleyes::rolleyes::mad:.

Well I saw him and he seemed a nice enough bloke, but I might as well have seen an IT technician since he reckons my hardware is okay - it's just my software that's Ecclefechaned and guess what - they can't reboot. :rotfl:

    Why do we bother?

But the good news - I can drive if I want to :T well, it's only five years since I was told I'd better not just in case it was epilepsy! Cue music - Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' :rotfl:. Eat my dust .

Ha! Brill Unity. That should make you feel more independant again? Right? :)

Thanks pcl. I'm in email debate with some florists (since I don't wanna ring cos my throat's sore and you can forget voluntarily leaving the house ;)) to see if it would work with the colour scheme and whatnot...

Unity Mr LW (who is an IT techie, btw) would as likely as not tell you to rebuild your indexes.....:D Great news on the driving, though. No stopping you now!:rotfl:

BZ good luck getting those flowers sorted. Can't be totally rocket science, can it? :confused:A florist worth their salt should be able to do what you require.

Hi Tenmah sorry, no words of wisdom for you (other than what the others have said about seeing the GP soonest) cos my problem is lupus, not fibro. Welcome to the [STRIKE]madhouse[/STRIKE] thread, anyway.:o

    wow what an appointment :T:T:T

First off the lady has fibro, so i didn't need to explain anything to her, she knew, she said she wasn't as severe as me, but her daughter has ME so she understood where i was coming from.

Immediately decided i need a wheelchair free from the nhs and it will be delivered very soon (omg) i also need a walking stick/stroller for in the home.

she was sooo helpful it was a huge relief.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
