well even better was that i have just taken a call from my doctor to tell me she looked at my blue badge application and said that there was no where for her to sign, but advised me the easier way to get it is to get the dla sorted first, if you get dla, you automatically get awarded your blue badge once you apply, i for one i didnt know that

yes but you must get awarded higher rate first not lower rate ! then you just fill in a form and i think a cheque for £3.00 towards cost and they send it to you. good luck , i think if you go through the doctor you have to have a medical ?? sorry not sure about that bit, some one on here will say

i'm expecting to have medicals for dla and esm or what ever it is called this week, a 2 hour one for wheelchair/walking stick for occupational heath too, having you doctor believe you is the first step and a big weight off my mind

ok off to that work meeting will fill you all in later

pap that may well be the case, but it is possible to get the blue badge without getting dla as long as you meet the councils criteria, and it might be quicker to just go ahead and apply for it ratehr than wait. dla itself might take a few months yet to sort, and then the blue badge is only certain if you get high rate mobility.

aww LW take it easy sounds like you've over done it, you'll loose spoons for that you know you will, i'm looking at the living room floor, it's filthy but the vacuum is upstairs and the though of dragging it downstairs it too much

    (the spoon theory) http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/navigation/BYDLS-TheSpoonTheory.pdf

Linked if anyone hasn't read it. i emailed this to the OH to read, made him understand being me, it's about lupus, but as we all know it could be about any of us with this type of illness Fibro, ME lups etc etc

I know I am a day late on this but I just sat here in tears reading it as yesterday I went to Hadrian's wall with my niece and used far too many spoons. I had a s**t night and feel carp today. DS3 and niece have gone out for another day of touristy things and I am stuck here unable to do anything much. My niece is here from Oz for three days, before she goes on to visit other family.

paprika It is good that you GP is listening to you. My GP is usually good at listening to me unless she is having a bad day. I hope your meeting re work goes well.
jamla I do same as pcl or sometimes put retired as I have a tiny pension for teaching and retired on health grounds. I am not yet retirement age!!

bz I get IB, DLA and my teeny pension and DH is self employed. It doesn't make any difference if you are married.

I just found out that because I am on DLA I can get help to change to digital TV.Our BBC2 went off last week and the rest goes off in July. We have s
Sky in living room but kitchen/diner TV is analogue. They will convert one TV regardless of whether you already have digital elsewhere if you are on DLA. There might be a charge I haven't looked into that properly yet. I will keep you up to date with how I get on as it won't be so long until everywhere is digital.
Todays job is to find paperwork and send off.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

*Staggers in, flops down on sofa and wishes there was a cold beer to hand*

Afternoon all. Oh, boy, is it HOT today! I can't handle this. I'm sat here in next to no clothes, and still I'm sweltering.

Paparika glad the Dr appt went well.

Seaside welcome back mate, you know you can pop in here any time you like.

BZ sending some good vibes your way. Even if it doesn't help much, it can't do any harm.

Auntie Axe And you talk about me overdoing it?? (Don't fancy coming to MK and doing my garden, do you? No? Thought not.)

Poohbear oh it's a real bummer when you feel so carp after a day doing stuff with your family. I know the feeling well.

Jamla I always put "retired" on forms, as I was retired from the Civil Service on medical grounds.

    Pcl
did you make it to the swings today?

*waves* to Sharon, Tria, Unity, Raeh. Suep, Kass, Veggyboy, and all the other lovely folks whose names have temporarily vacated my memory.

Off to get another glass of chilled water, in the absence of any beer.

lw yup i did, glad i did now its trying to rain, hopefully it will rain properly and get rid of the muggyness, i much prefer dry heat to humid.

pooh sorry you have had to sit today out and be stuck at home, hope the feeling crap departs as fara s possible after a day of rest.
  • pap Sounds like there's no stopping you when you get fixed on something - way to go girl!
Hope the outcome of the meeting at work is as you want it.

Pooh Have a restful day today and hope you do better tomorrow.

lw LOL! I sooooo love having a garden again that it's good tired iyswim. Picked up 8/9 climbers today that I rooted from cuttings some weeks ago and left at Dad's to be nurtured - fushias, jasmine, clematis, honeysuckle etc. Will either stop my neighbour from nosying over the fence when they grow and he'll poke his eye on the stakes before then *g*

pcl It's humidity that gets to me too - luckily this house stays cool as well which is a godsend.

I went back to bed for a nap this arvo and feel a bit better for it but now I have to brave the school traffic to go to the supermarket and the vets.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

    wow what a meeting,

they wanted to discuss my return to work now or later, what changes they had made for me, which at the capability meeting we issued them, small start to the changes etc..

then i had to stop them and say that i was handing my resignation due to ill health and that the way they treated me made me worse, depression making me feel that i was thick and stupid etc, this was said after they could not let me go on retirement on ill health as i am way too young.

union told me that they could not support me with constructive dismissal because they have no funding, but advised me to see a solicitor if i wish to purse it.

so letter stayed in bag for now and will add a bit about holiday pay and post it in a few days
