  • Pap That sounds horrible, are you going to see a solicitor?

I'm feeling very tired today. Lost my glasses last night (fell asleep with them in my hand, I'm not used to wearing them because I wear my contacts so much) and can't find them anywhere now. Went to Specsavers who said that they are shutting at mid day to give the staff half a day off, so they'll fit me in tomorrow morning. They didn't have any contacts for me either, so they advised me not to look at too much?!

Hope everyone else is having a good day!

I don't know your age, Paparika, but for what it's worth, I got my medical retirement when I was 41. I did have to endure a two-year battle for it though, as I was originally signed off sick when I was 39.

Anyway, best of luck - keep us posted.

well legal aid advice line put me through to a employment law person who listened to what i had to say, and as long as i can provide proof ( 7 page document on telling them how they have failed me given to them at my capability meeting, several spare copies) then there is a good case in theory...

wanders off wondering where all my contracts and paperwork is (I never chuck things away)

lw we tried the retirement due to ill health route they weren't having it, and if i stay out sick one day they will just sack me for time off sick etc etc i'm ahem mutters 39
