  • Blutack and superglue works wonders, CWTA!

It reminds me of a time when I worked in an office that had electronic daisywheel typewriters. For the benefit of people who are scratching their heads, the daisywheel part was plastic and it had all the characters on it, ready to print on the paper. We had to type our reports in quadruplicate which meant one tiny mistake and out came the white, blue, pink and yellow tippex and having to alter every single page.

My supervisor was a good way through a long report suddenly shrieked "my R's split" :rotfl: she was :o when she realised what she'd said :D

I hope everyone's ok, I've not been about much lately.

Maybe that's why there's a two-hour shutdown scheduled for Friday - to get it working?

Suep not great tbh, there's been so much going on with my stepfather's recent demise that I keep getting horrible flare-ups. I spent most of yesterday in bed hardly able to move and feeling so nauseous that my head was spinning. Apart from that, thumbs up, really :D

I hope your dinner wasn't burnt - I'm great at forgetting I'm cooking something until I smell burning.

I hadn't spotted the new button until you mentioned either BZ, does anyone know how it works ? Im shocked at you having a shower and doing your hair at gone midnight  I cant stay awake much after 10 if that these days. I hope today goes well and your not too tired from your late night.
Not a clue how it works :D I had thought maybe it might show on the posts listed below the text box you get after going through the quote/advance button...but it would seem not...so I'm guessing that must be what the shutdown's for on Friday.

I can be really lazy about the shower/hair drying/straightnening thing suep and I'm bad for waiting til the last minute to do things too...but at least I didn't wait til this morning, cos that would *never*'ve happened. I'd rather stay up late to do something rather than do it in the morning. Plus I'm more of a night owl and abhor early mornings ;) As it was we had to be up at 8.30am() en route at 9.30am, quick stop for petrol and unindentified parcel from the GPO (which turned out to be another pair of the Converse All Stars from Amazon that they've now sent me in error instead of getting the first parcel to me in the first place) to pick up BIL, sis and nephew slightly off route at 10.15 (we actually got there more like 10.35-45) to then journey down to London for the 2.15pm funeral. Then there was the crem (in another part of London-ness) and the wake-y type/foody type bit back at the church that the folks from the church rustled up (and it was a fair spread!) while the family was all at the crem. Then there's the chatting and such and before you know it it's pretty much midnight before you've walked in through your front door again! I'm pooped!! :undecided I bet I end up either hardly sleeping or sleeping most way thru tomorrow! It was a good send off tho and just as she would've/had wanted. :) Thanks for your thoughts guys :)

That's it for me...I'll have to come back to anything else I've not replied to tomorrow... Zzzzzzzzzzzz ;)
