Yay, the forum is back up again :T:T:T.
Just popping in to say 'Hi'. I hope you are all having a good BH weekend, weather has been a bit bleurgh today - but I'm hoping it doesn't let us down tomorrow, as we hope to go up to Belsay Hall to see the rhododendron garden. http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server.php?show=nav.13023
I found the Carbamazepine was increasing my appetite something rotten - so I am gradually reducing them from 100mg to 50 per day in the hope of getting off them. I remember having them once before and not realising you can't just stop taking them . Suffice to say the headache was from Hell .
Any ideas for what to read next? I've just finished the fourth book in the unmentionable series (sorry Tri) so I'm currently filling in with some Louise Cooper fantasies, but I need something gripping . I haven't read any Stephen King - probably since 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' so if there are any fans on here - what's he like these days?
P.S. To anyone who is wondering why this doesn't relate to anything - it's cos when the forum came up the last page of posts was missing - till after I hit submit of course:rolleyes:.
So commiserations to Tiger.
Raeh - I really feel for you - I hate to think how I'd be without the pain patches .
CWTA - I know the perfect house is just waiting for you - maybe try dowsing for it;).
Beggar! I can't even scroll down now to see the other posts on the page - so I'm not intentionally ignoring anyone and wish you all the very best for the rest of the holiday. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

tiger im sorry, try not to overdo it too much while looking after your mum and helping sort things, and remember to look after yourself too.
raeh sorry about the appointment. perhaps its time for a new surgery?
ive been being sort of vague, im at my sisters in london for the weekend. mum has come over ot visit and we took her to see wicked and for dinner today. excellent show, even made me cry, im glad i had read the book before though. now i need to read it again.
actually unity wicked, and its sequel son of a witch were pretty gripping. ive been meaning to buy his other books too, he wrote one about the ugly stepsisters i think.gregory mcquire, and it look slike there was a third in the series published last year.

Unity, I just bought a book today on a new vampire series. Hope to finish it soon, and will let you know what I think of it.
I think Stephen King has very much gone off the boil with recent ones, but that's just my pov. I'll get my brain together tomorrow and try to think of sommat.
Would you explain the dowsing to me or point me in the direction of some info? Certainly would be worth a try. I'll accept any help - divine or otherwise!
bz well done on making the most of the good weather and would love to see some photies. Spoke to s/e tonight and she is fine although still having probs sleeping. On 5th pair of socks!! Knitting, I hasten to add.
pcl I had heard that Wicked is good - pleased you enjoyed it. Whereabouts in London are you? I used to live in SE London.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Cwta - Apart from thurs eve, this late arvo/eve is the only vaguely good weather we've had here lately - it's just been rain near enough all the time! The skies are darkening now but my washing's nearly dry (again!) so it better not start raining on it!! I've started with one chair and sanded it down and put two coats of paint on, so I think I need to put another coat on and some detailing and then varnish....and then do the other chair, the table and the bench! Eek - may take some time! The weather had better hold!!
Gonna drag my sorry butt into the shower so I'm out, dry and redressed before DF finishes work and I have to go pick him up...."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Hello all
Thank you all for your lovely words - that's two days got through now. I'm exhausted, physically and mentally. Normally when I wake up in the morning my feet and legs are very painful - that always happens. This morning was another level altogether, still, it's helping my Mum get through the days and we're only pottering. I'm just not used to being upright for so long lol!
I hope you're all having a good weekend, it was really warm here today.0 -

pcl How funny! I've lived in Lee (Burnt Ash Road), Hither Green and (unfortunately) Woolwich. I still miss Greenwich Park even though I haven't been there for almost 9 years. I have a framed photo of it hanging on the wall. Say "Hi" to Greenwich Market for me.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Bad, bad day today, as related to bz earlier. *sigh*
As for Wicked... bwahaha. I get to spam you with a picture of my favourite actress with me, and it's actually RELATED!I cosplay Elphaba when I have the energy to do it... it's fun. I was the first girl to attend the West End production in costume. *grin*
