  • Hi all
Pesky pc virus - sorry to all it affected.
Weather has broken today, but still warmish.
Been trying some face stuff that has been recommended for Rosacea. £60 for the set of treatments, but a damn site cheaper than the laser treatment I had and would have had to continue. I really hate this and the "corned beef" skin that is a constant feature of my life. Seems blue/grey skin is part of the MCTD, but tis so unattractive. No matter - there are worse things!
jamla I wear disposable gloves when dealing with the livestock *g*. Do you use them when you clean out the hamster? I'm sure it won't be long til we get Hamster flu *tee hee*
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Went babysitting as planned and the kids were in bed (although not necessarily asleep ) before the parents went out. Watched Cocktail with a very sleepy DF (he'd only had an hours sleep Sat night for some odd reason ) and a bit of another show and the parents were back - they were only gone for about 2-2.5hrs so quicker than expected.

Today sister and BIL have been round to drop off their old 28" tele - old school big effort but a bigger screen than my old one...which is threatening to give up the ghost be displaying odd behaviour every so often  He also brought round his drill for us to borrow so we can finally attempt to put the handles on the wardrobe doors :o I've sanded down and put a coat on the patio table now but it's started spitting now so I fear I'll have to leave it there til tomorrow. Probably for the best though tbh as I've more than likely over done it - the table is after all at least twice the size of the chair

DF's best man should be coming over shortly...wish I'd never suggested it now...:o He's not the chattiest of fellows and has poor social skills so it's always rather hard work. Mind you DF's not been a barrel of laughs today as he woke up as Grumpus, lol ;) He didn't take too kindly to my sis having a pop at him for not having mowed the back lawn though :rolleyes2

Now... what shall I do with my evening?

suep wasn't Nicholas Flamel noted in the Harry Potter books...?

Oh yeah - when BIL was here I got him to put in my new 4gb memory for my laptop - MUCH better than the 1gb that Vista just swallowed! YAY

  • suep, good that you're a bit improved - hope you can ride the rest of it out.

bz well done on the patio set. Sounds like a lot has been achieved at the BZ house one way or another this weekend. Can you disappear with a book or the puter while best man in around on the excuse that they can have boys time?

Hope everyone who is quiet is OK and enjoying themselves
