Cwta - Apart from thurs eve, this late arvo/eve is the only vaguely good weather we've had here lately - it's just been rain near enough all the time! The skies are darkening now but my washing's nearly dry (again!) so it better not start raining on it!! I've started with one chair and sanded it down and put two coats of paint on, so I think I need to put another coat on and some detailing and then varnish....and then do the other chair, the table and the bench! Eek - may take some time! The weather had better hold!!

Gonna drag my sorry butt into the shower so I'm out, dry and redressed before DF finishes work and I have to go pick him up....

Hope everyone's ok. Keeps eating my posts so keeping this short plus I'm tired. Said I might take kids swimming today but just too tired and thinking it will be packed with it being BH weekend so might put it off until after school on Tuesday when it might be a bit quieter. Ho hum.....what to do...

Sorry to hear about the house careful and your stepdad tiger.

    I've had a morphine patch on all week..........what a load of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hyah kass :D good to see you, my kids [and me :p] are on holiday all week so no rush for us to do anything over the b/h weekend
raeh, do you think you've come to the end of the road with your surgery? It's awful if they left you in tears and maybe you could now think of changing to another doc? Yu may appear to live a "normal" life in their terms, but what about the toll it takes on you to do it? You may have an extra 'ug too. *g* And this is just the place to have a winge not to hold it in!
sorry i didnt explain too well :o the pain [and tears] was from a 'procedure' i had to have, but i get far more than 'normal' pain! we had to give up in the end as i couldnt cope with the pain and do something else. They are pretty good as far as gp's go, im not sure it would be worth starting elsewhere and having to go through everything all over again? I dont visit that often anyway? my trouble is not showing anyone what i go through, yesterday i went clothes shopping with my friend [bad enough in itself ] and i manage fine whilst im outand not say anything, i sort of walk through the pain barrier? but when i got back i just collapsed and feel terrible today :o il have a day of rest apart from cooking the dinner :D sorry blathered on again

unity i love stephen king books whatever and buy them regardless of whether i think they look good or not lol, but i love harlan coben books most, pepole seem to either really like his or dont like them at all drom people iv spoken to?

its gorgous weather here today :D really warm, hubby has gone off to the pub to watch the grand prix so im slobbing on the sofa for a short while ;)

i hope its a lovely sunny day for everyone xx

LOL. I nearly spat at the screen with the *puts vodka down*! :rotfl:

Well. I'm peesed off. I've been to church with DF (after virtually no sleep for either of us) and that was all good, got home, had some tortellini for lunch outside on the patio furniture with DF, got changed ready to carry on with the painting and such...and then mil2b phoned  She's not well, she's dirty, she doesn't want to shower when there's noone in the house, the house is a mess, she's in pain, she's been sick, she can't eat, will DF get her some tomato soup, crisps and fags on his way over...you get the idea. So I get changed again. We come over to mil2b's (begrudgingly, if I'm honest :o), knowing that she's been brewing for an illness for a few days if not weeks, and I ask her how she is. She describes her puking, lack of bowel movements, pains, boils, lethargy, exhaustion, etc, etc, and so I say "so what are we doing then? Ringing the emergency doc? Going to the walk-in centre? What?" and she says...."Nothing. We're not doing anything. I'll wait til Tuesday to see the GP" Am I the only one that thinks this is a ridiculous idea? I've tried being harsh, merciless, swearing about how ridiculous her reaction is...everything. She won't budge - even though DF agreed. *Siiiiiiiiigh* I'm also hacked off that I had to leave my task, of patio furniture painting in the sunshine, to come and sit here in the house festering and watching sh!te tele whilst virtually ignoring the old bird...

    GRRRRRRR

Should I be so irritated about it?

I just wanted to check up on you all, so I must be feeling a bit better. I cant remember anything Ive read on the last couple of pages, except about Tigers stepfather, Im so sorry for your loss. I think I better go back and lie down now, hopefully I'll be able to catch up on you all tomorrow. x

  • suep, poor thing. Hope you recover soon. Sometimes the best thing to do is retire to bed and weather the storm.

bz of course you're not wrong to be flamin annoyed. Silly woman - has she not heard about the parable of crying wolf.
Would it be any good to say to her that instead of going to her, DF brings her to you? You could at least get on with what you wanted to do then and it might even call her bluff?

kass Nice to see you. Play nice and safe won't you with the voddie and meds *g*

Beautiful day here. Have reached bottom of washing basket. Only downside is that it's left me with loads of ironing. I can't decide whether to get off the sofa and sweep the living room and hall or climb up the kitchen wall and wash the window in there. I may have to sit and contemplate a bit longer *g*
My brain still isn't functioning properly, so I've nothing intelligent to say I'm afraid.
    Take it easy everyone.

Funny you mention that cos I've just been to walk the dogs with DF and suggested that... he said he'd had the same thought after eh'd already been to and fro twice....

I'm pining for my patio furniture... *sigh* and I know that we're babysitting tonight, which is a nice treat for the parents but a bit of a waste of time for us when we want to get going with the house and garden :o

Mil2b has just asked in a rather feeble voice whether DF would feed the dogs before we go. He asked her if she was going for a shower while we were here and she said no, she was gonna be dirty and eccentric. Now I can understand the feeling of being overwhelmed by the thought of a shower...BUT if I was waiting for someone to be in the house while I had a shower (just in case) then I would have a shower while they were available...cos DF's not available tomorrow and he's back at work on Tues...so just when is she gonna have this shower? Cos she better not flipping ring up and ask another day, and I know that she won't want to go to the GP not having had one for a while...
