hello to everyone else, iv read back so many times im dizzy nowand i bet iv still missed important bits
i read on another thread about hypermobility? have i got that right? do many people have that with fibro and other or related illnesses? i did the test as iv always been 'stretchy' and i can easily do 7 out of the 9 things, just my knees dont really bend backwards much. iv always been clicky in my hips and they feel like they are coming out a bit? and my feet 'fall off' people have always thought i was mad with that but if i ever tried to run when i was younger it felt like my feet had left my anklesim starting to sound like kass now
sorry had to end on a complaint didnt i:rotfl:
hope its been a good day for everyone and you all have a peaceful night xx2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

Hi, I'm a long time sufferer with FM and I have hypermobility, so I think they can be linked. I've always been able to turn my elbow the 'wrong' way but now it's causing me a lot of pain! My feet are really painful too, due apparently to too much movement in all the joints down there.
It's a joke really... 'hypermobility' .... I can hardly move some days :rotfl:2025 - Declutter to Move House

Parts of the meal were bearable , if I could forget for long enough what d/h's cousin was wearing, she looked like ......how can I say this politly ?
like she charges for favoursand she's so loud, everyone kept staring at us, it was really embarressing. Also it went on too long, the table was booked for 7 and we didnt get out of there until almost 11,I was shattered , we had 4 very bored kids who didnt like the food etc, in other words the usual family gathering
raeh yes Hypermobility is on the list as one of the possible symptoms of Fibro, and you dont have to have it in all your joints either. I havn't got it but my daughter has in her knees, they dislocate sometimes and it's ever so painful for her, I do worry that with her back and neck pain since her car crash in Jan she will end up with Fibro, but I dont want her to worry about it so havnt said anything.
We are having a BBQ today, I am going to try and take it easy which will be difficult with g/s round :rolleyes:Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Hi again,
I am feeling less tired now but hate jet lag and taking i'm on a trampoline as well seams to have wiped me out,was a good job I don't have to go back to work till thursday.
We had a wonderful time in Dom Rep and my husbands alot better now(see my earlier post re hosp visit) Next op 14th May so lets hope he doesn't haemhorage then.
We stayed at the riu merengue in bahia mamon, peurto plata, this is one of three hotels on the site, and you could use the facilities in all.It is a very nice place and a beautifull setting but the rain was awful,it rained 12 out of 14 days at sometime in the day but when it was hot it was roasting. The only thing was when I am in the sun my joint/muscle pains can get worse for some reason, has any one else had this problem ?
We went on two trips "Monster Trucks" and a Catamaran(sp) the truck was great but it broke down on the way back .These are big trucks with seats in the back and we went into sugar cane fields and drove through rivers was brilliant fun.
Now the cat was a different story ,we really looked forward to this ,as I said earlier the weather was very changeable so we did wonder if we would go and it was very overcast when we set off at 7.45am.Unfortunately the sea wasn't kind to us and we both had awfull sea sickness along with half the others. We had to be ferried back to shore in a little boat and pay for taxis back to the hotel all in all the day out cost us £140 to be sick :eek::eek:.
We had a great time though but because of the complex being miles away from anywhere we felt quite isolated ,we like to be able to jump on a bus and explore.Taxis where really expensive because of the dolar/pound .I picked a lovely foto frame for my mum but they wanted £21 for it :eek: and it was only small.
All in all we are lucky to be able to afford a holiday and did have a great time but wouldn't go back.I will try and upload fotos to a site so you can be nosey as we all like to do.If any of you are on facebook pm me and I'll add you as a friend cos my pics are on there now,
You did say tell you about my holiday !!!!!!!!!!
Take care all,

Hi y'all! Gonna try and catch up but sorry if I miss anyone.
Sharon, lovely to see you and seaside, thanks for keeping us informed. Oh and happy birthday, sorry I missed it xx
Sue, how did last night go?
pcl, I've noticed that you never complain/whinge/moan about anything and I demand you do so!!!
Unity, is Stitch n !!!!! a sewing group? Mmmmmmm Jason Statham :grouphug: :rotfl:
Careful, can you teach me some of your pulling techniques?
Raeh, ya cheeky mare!Yeah I think it can be related but there are a lot of different forms of it. They can be dangerous as it can affect your organs and be fatal but the one that is related to fibro isn't like that so thank !!!! for that! I've done that test and I can't do most of what it says so maybe I don't have it after all. My fingers bend back at the middle knuckles and lock into place and I can't get them back out, I just have to wait for them to de-lock. I also can't make them do it either iykwim. I've tried bending them back when I've explained to the doc but they won't do it when I want them to! My thumb bends back but doesn't lock and I can bend it back to my wrist like in the test and I have lots of trouble with my hips but that's about it. I'll have to see what rheumy says.
Kayjay, :rotfl::rotfl: Yes I think they are having a laugh with the name! Welcome to the thread!
Hassie, glad to hear you had a good time and the hubby is well.
BZ, where are you lass? You went offline 2 mins before I came back on yesterday. I went to Borders up the road for a book and a couple of magazines. Had to go to the toilet twice whilst in there and spent a while bent over in agony pretending to look at something on the bottom shelfDid get a few books for 99p though
Then I had to go to asda and had the same story in there. I have to make sure that wherever i go has toilets when I'm like that. Didn't get much sleep cos of the cramps and I'm starting to think it (diverticular) may be infected as I've been like this since Thursday and it doesn't normally last this long. There is just bloody mucus coming out one end and it's like someone keeps turning a tap on in my nose. It's ruined my white top and my bed sheets and pillow cases
I'm supposed to be going out soon too. I've been looking forward to this event for weeks and my friend bought me the ticket for my birthday so I can't miss it. Have sent for my script collecting so gonna dose myself up and see how I feel.
Have a good day y'all0 -

Sorry to snigger in an unladylike fashion, but I hope you didn't let one rip whilst you were down there
Spesh with the bloody mucus, that sounds exactly like an IBS flare up kass. Do you take any antispasmodics? Perhaps try some peppermint tea or somat like that to calm it down a little. Some people find good bacteria tablets help, but they always set mine odd, so it can be a bit hit and miss. Hope it clears up soon and you have a good time when you go out.
Promise to post the cat book to you next week.
Prospective landlady just rang and will be putting off my moving into house, so likely to be 2nd week in June. Am chomping at the bit to be in there, but want to keep her sweet.
Am being very lazy this weekend and am still nice and chilled out. Sleeping well too which is a bit of a relief as it usually goes to pot again when I get home.
Will catch up on emails and phone calls etc this week and have loads of ironing to do when all the washing is finally dry.
It's been so quiet here sine I've been back and I hope it's because you're all out having a good time.
bz, hope you are enjoying being with Bro and SIL and that the break does you both good and allows you to re-group and ground yourselves again.
Hugs to all.

oh i moan lots kass, its just that mostly it goes in my journal, when i can be annoyed that is, that way its not public either. though tbh i just cba these days to care enough to complain if that makes sense. and then there is the fact that i dont have any of the physical problems you guys have, so !!!!!! am i complaining about when it could be so much worse. id moan about the cat, but that leads to gallons of guilt because sh eis old and really shouldnt be still here and i should be treasuring every last minute i have with her not complaining (even if she does make me get up ina panic at 4am to see whats wrong when all it is is that its raining), the remembering of which effectively shuts me up.
i hopes dosing up works and you enjoy yourself, what event is it?
hassie some nice pics there, glad you had a good time. *fingers crossed* there are no problems with his next op.0
