raeh, that's awful about your dad  i get a funny feeling in my bum when I hear about anything like that. Both me and one of my sisters get it and everybody thinks we're weird :o
    :rotfl:Kass you ARE weird! :p

Next minute waters went and when he returned with a coffee in each hand, grandma was already holding the baby :rotfl: I can just imagine his face, bless him.
    GUTTED.
bz, doesn't your fibro affect your balance? I'm terrible with it. Get a pic on with your new do!
Lol! Knew you'd bring that up! :rotfl: It does but not as much as you were professing ;) It's more part of the general feeling faint/need to sit down bit than just wobbling around with a drunken-stupor type balance issue ;):p
I might, if you're lucky, get a pic or two taken with DF tomorrow when out for bday...think we might go for a meal so might even make a bit of effort ;)

Where's Auntie axe? I want to give her lots of big kisses and cuddles!!!! Thank you so much for the card, it was such a lovely thing to do xxxxxxxx
C'mon Axe, show yourself! ;) Thanks for mine too, not opened it yet, but saw the Truro postmark :)

BZ hel's teeth, I'm cream crackered just reading about what you've been doing! Good luck with the hen do; we shall, of course, expect a full account......:D
Indeedy! It was quite exhausting typing about it! ;) Thanks re the hen do...think I might need it, as I'd sort of sussed that I might need about 3 just to no clash certain people together! Eek!

I've just rung Sky to get the BB installed...and they want £60 off me for installation! *Sigh* I wouldn't mind so much if we hadn't been through the rigmarole of making sure that we wouldn't get charged for it because of the long drawn out process that has been getting anything from them! Told him about it and he went off to his supervisor who said that they could only process the request for BB if I paid them the £60 and then they'd refund it to my account straight away...but to my SKY account not my account that the money came from  I told them DF would have to sort it out later. I'd run out of patience by this point! Grrr.

I rang the bridal shop and she said she'd given me a colour swatch from a different range and after checking the order I'd actually placed that she will post me out a swatch of the right colour. PHEWF. I had visions of getting a bright red dress for a minute there!! They can make me the ties, at £20 a metre, and apparently they need 1m to do 3 ties cos they have to cut it on the cross... I need 8 ties, so now I'm pondering...

dad cut the end of his little finger and they had to remove a bit off the next one, the ring finger to neaten it up so thats to the knuckle above the ring? he decided not to bother have the ring finger attached back on as they said it would take a long time to get the dexterity back and would heal far quicker just 'tidying' it up

Tria I don't think I've been able to get in Primark bras since I was 14 ;) I don't sleep 2/3rds of the day with Lyrica though - although it did have an initial effect til it settled down - do you take it regularly or just as and when?

They've increased their size range recently... and as of two days ago, I'm now a 40F, and they only go up to 38F/40DD, I was told when I was there. *sigh* Just so long as I don't end up being an H cup again. (That was when I was 13.)

Lyrica? I'm supposed to take 75mg in the morning and 75mg at night. I was regularly taking it, until after two months on it I realised that it was causing major weight gain and hypersomnia, so I'm going to talk to my consultant about changing the dosage next time I can get hold of him.

I hope you're all feeling better than I am today (not much better than yesterday- still can't go out :P)! Glad to hear Sharon's home, too. I hope everything goes well, threadlings :)

  • Have onlyhad a chance to skim read as cafe shuts at 5.30pm. So good to hear that sharon is home!

All those who didn't get a card tis only coz I didn't have your addresses. Not coz I had forgotten you! Funny that the card had a TRuro postmark when I carefully posted them from St Mary's - suppose it'sthe nearest main mainland post office.

It poured down today, so my decision to go to St Martins on the open boat, probably wasn't one of my brightest. When I got back to the Hotel, I could literally wring out my underwear! However, we landed on a quay at one end of the island and were picked p at t'other again, so I had a lovely walk across with vews over the Atlatic with waves kcking up a storm. Fabulous walk and views but I am tired now after 2 active days.
I'm gonna have a quieter day tomorrowand catch a bus to the other end of St Marys and walk back stopping off at crafts places and frequent cups of tea. Thank the lord for wateproof clothing and hot baths.

Beng here does me so much good mentally - I leave my stresses in Truro and feel so chilled when I'm here.

The Gig racing starts at the end of this week and the BBC are here filming some of it for the new series of The Isand Parish. If you see a wierd woman in blue waterproofs, a very unflattering cloche hat waving a turquoise crutch at the camera, you'll know it's me. Although knowing how many pounds the camera adds, I'vebeen hiding from it successfuly so far even when they did a panning shot in the cafe, I lurched under the table *g*. Then again, I spent much of my youth under the table in pubs, so maybe it's just my natural position. *g*

Hopefully will have a little more time tomorrow to read the posts properly and catch up with you all.

From a wet and windy Auntie Axe.

Good to hear that you're enjoying your holiday CwtA even if the weather does leave a lot to be desired.

Wet and windy? I thought that was something to do with farting in the bath..... but perhaps that's because I've been with Mr LW for seven years.:D:D

thank you :) DF's booked it off, so I booked us in to go do the Notice of Marriage at 12 (providing DF can find his birth certificate ) and other than that, I'm not sure. Think DF's plotted something, but I think we're going to try going out for a meal...? Might even spruce myself up a bit ;)

Tria I'm about the same with the bra size these days. And they're so uncomfortable, rubbing against lymphs etc... I have to go get properly sized and get some proper underwear for the wedding though...so that should be fun(!) Think I'll try Bravissimo first...? Didn't realise Lyrica might have any weight gaining business going on... I've resigned myself to the fact that being so inactive, and eating so much snacky carp cos it's easy, is more my problem. Besides, there isn't much I'd trade Lyrica for these days, not since the appetitie suppressant debacle.

Nice to hear from you Auntie Axe.

My stomach's started kicking off with me this arvo... :( not happy. Tried a soya yoghurt this morning, cos the dietician was concerned that I didn't have enough calcium, but it appears to be having the same effect as normal yoghurt would :(
