So as you can imagine after being told Mr U only has a 3% chance of this ever kicking off, it is time for a celebration :dance::dance::dance::beer:.
:jYay! Much clearer, thanks Unity :D Now I can celebrate properly :T:j:dance::beer:

Jo gutted about their decision but like the others say, it is worth carrying on - even when it's the thing you least want to do - when you get it, it'll be worth it! And I'm with pcl on the break thing...can you stretch the Bank Holiday weekend out a bit more maybe and go somewhere perhaps? Maybe a relative you get on with or something? And no, it wasn't a big whinge. If you want the "big whinger" badge you'll have to fight me for it, so put your dukes up! ;)

Auntie Axe great to see you, gutted about your connection at the hotel though... Remember, "she was infuriating though guv'nor" is not adequate defense for strangling her...in the eyes of the law anyhow ;)

kass Way to go! You certainly don't let the grass grow do you!
Was wondering if I'd missed something there for a mo...but I'm guessing you mean the house viewing yesterday? How did it go Kass?

I've just come back from Mil2b's after a somewhat heated "conversation"...She'd rung here crying...for no apparent reason other than needing dog food. It seems apparent that it's all getting too much for her and she seems to be sliding day-by-day into a depression...? But when we try to get through to her, help her, talk to her about it she turns into dumb insolence/teenager mode, or says things she knows will push DF's buttons and make him storm off, so that the conversation will end and she doesn't have to face any of it. It's uber frustrating. He's tried ringing his aunt (her sister) to see if she can get through to her, but I doubt it tbh. It's like she's just waiting to die and DF is terrified of her dying before she needs too (iyswim?) and got very upset  Don't quite know what else to try with her, feels like we've done everything...

P.s. Raeh. I think you may've whispered something about your impending niece/nephew in the long, long ago...but do let us know when the arrival occurs...give us all an excuse for a tipple (*ahem* Kass ;))/extra fag (*ahem* Auntie Axe ;))/extra chocolate (*ahem* Zippy ;))

Hi Auntie Axe Hope your having a lovely time and are getting on well with your sister

Jo Im so sorry for you. Give yourself some time to lick your wounds and then keep going, dont give up, just keep appealing and reapplying until they get the message.

Unity dont worry about the email for now, I know you've not been too good lately. Dil had her scan on Tuesday and instead of being the 12 weeks that the doctor and midwife had estimated she was only 9 weeks !
So the due dates November 29th. I cant believe the other 2 grandkids are 2 next month

I got a book a while ago called 'Vegan cupcakes take over the world' and brought a cup measuring kit as its an American book, I made the golden vanilla cupcakes this afternoon with fluffy vanilla frosting piped on top, they are seriously yummy and I feel a bit sick now after eating 3.

DS2 is going to cut the width of my little ramp with a circular saw :j maybe I didnt waste all that money after all.

  • i hope its quiet because everyone is still asleep or enjoying a nice sunday morning.

raeh i expect full baby details asap after tuesday. hope you have managed to spend this weekend recovering and resting more.

sue hope he manages to fix the ramp for you, those cupcakes sound scrummy, share please?

bz could she be persuaded to see her gp? perhaps df could speak to the gp first about your concerns then gp might have moore luck at getting mil2b to listen. (they are allowed to listen to concerns from family members, theyre just not allowed to tell you anything without permission).

unity thanks for the explanation, i heard of asbestos and know it is associated with bad things, but didnt know the details. what a relief for you both to get the all clear so to speak.

careful hope the weather is nicer today.

    :hello: everyone else

wow its been quiet  as pcl said i hope its because you were all having a lovely sunday :)pcl hope your days been good x

bz i hope your day was better with your mil2b. It would be a good idea for your oh to have a chat to her gp like pcl said. i was able to do that with my mums gp, she could give me any details on mums care but could listen to my concerns and actually tell me ways to deal with things

sue hope the ramps sorted quickly for you x

    sharon (((((((XxX)))))) for tomorrow

hugs to everyone else [ no dodgy 3someones though ;) ]

im waking myself up [again] to go to bed lol . I hope i can stop this dropping asleep everytime i sit down

i hope its going to be a good week for everyone xx

Im having trouble with my laptop, the charging leads broken and the batteries low so I dont want to use it until the new one I ordered from Ebay arrives. So Im having to use the main computer and I cant sit here for long without my low back pain kicking in .
Yesterday we had ds1 and his family round, it was a bit hectic  by the time they left I layed on the sofa and couldn't move, especially not to sit on this awful chair to come on the forum (sorry) anyway d/h was on it for most of the evening.

BZ I agree with raeh I think it sounds like mil2b needs to see her gp, this is too much for you and df to cope with. If she wont go, then do as raeh said and get d/f to go on her behalf.

What I thought was hayfever was actually the start of a nasty cold, it's pouring with rain today as well so Im not going anywhere ;) Hope evryones ok, and cwta has got better weather on her holiday than we have.
