hello all and thanks for all your kind wishes.I have seen my Mcmillan nurse today and feel better-she has a very calming effect on me.She has sorted out an increase in my pain relief and is arranging some counselling which l think may help as trying not to upset everyone around me just increases my anxiety.
Went shopping for hour with my daughter which was so normal! Its sunny and warm -always seem to make things feel better.
Now a restful evening watching tv and surfing the net for a trip somewhere-no idea where yet!!!!

I've recently stopped using furniture polish and have switched to a slightly damp microfibre cloth. For one reason the scented sprays make me sneeze and choke and the other is d/h, he has an evening job as a cleaning supervisor and the company have recently changed to using these cloths too for environmental reasons, its cheaper too.

Hiya raeh I hope you get to rest at the weekend, it sounds like you need it again.

LW I love dragons too and have a few dragon ornaments, I had more but I've packed most of them away now as I cant cope with the dusting :D
My aunt had loads of those Myth and Magic dragon ornaments, the silver ones with crystals, I always wanted one and she'd always say next time you come round maybe, I even offered to pay for one. I only found out last week that shes sold almost all of them on Ebay recently   Mum offered to ask her if she'd save me one but I threw a sulk and said not to bother, maybe I'll go and buy one from ebay

dont you hate it when you wake up form a nap and get all disorientated and confused and cant work out what day it is?

sharon im glad you have a good mcmillan nurse, and i hope they get everything sorted asap and the counselling does help.

im not sure i know what dusting is anymore. apart fomr the fireplace which is wher ei can see dust and it bugs me, the rest i notice occasionally an dmean to get a cloth then promptly forget until next time.

there is a mjaor problem with my electricity bills reading. it appears it goes back to british gas billing me for too much or something because i am such a low user that it barely moviing on at all.....at least the new company noticed and are trying to sort it out and figure out whats gone wrong instead of demanding i pay the large outstanding ammount for i woudnt have noticed for years.

Um... here we go...let's see how far my memory gets me...

    Raeh: rest!

Sharon: thoughts to you, and counsellor sounds like a blinding idea, if only to get things off your chest to someone not invested iyswim

pcl: yes I do hate that feeling - it goes hand in hand with mooky. I don't think I've done anything vaguely approaching dusting in a good year or so...but I have minions now ;)

lw: I'll get the photos done later (in theory) - DF's going out around 8 so the plan is a shower and spruce up and then down to Asda photo booth. It'll make me feel like I've done something productive too as the passport and driving licenses are fairly important

cwta: I never had the shower as the friend came a tad early, but will get one tonight after dropping DF methinks (he's just in shower now). It was nice to see the friend earlier, I've not seen him since I moved in and he's one of our ushers - a thoroughly nice (but very busy) guy :)

GP took a swab from my tonsils (nice wretching experience ) to check if there's any further infection but doubts it. Reckons the vile taste I have is more likely to be from the abcess (bleurgh) in the root of my front tooth (:shhh: Auntie axe!) or the antibiotics disrupting the flora/fauna of my mouth. I know which I'd put my money on... I really do need to sort out changing my dentist cos I really don't trust this numpty anymore - if he can't even do a simple filling it's not a good sign is it...?

I did finally manage to get to the post office to post my sister's invite to Israel though...phewf...and even had the forethought to get stamps for the same weight to go to Germany for a friend who's coming from there that I don't have the address for yet. Very preemptive of me...for once! :T

After the horrid suit shopping experience and growing frustration at not being able to find the right colour ties...I have this horrible feeling that we're going to end up making them from a bm skirt  Could really do without it...

oh cripes you reminded me its the dentist for me on tuesday for the next 2 or 3 weeks. wonder if he would let me change my mind and ignore the tooth some more since its been fine for the past month?

actually, showering is half the reason why i drag myself to aqua aerobics twice a week, the showers at the gym are much nicer and user friendlier than mine but i cant really go down there just to use their showers.
    Raeh: rest!
and to go along with that, we havent heard when the gp appointment is yet have we?

im impressed bz very preemptive and should save you a second trip.

    Hello everyone,

Just a very quick hello to say I hope everyone's doing ok, and that house moves and wedding plans and new kittens are all going as they should! I pop in occassionally to read up about you all (makes me sound like a stalker!).

I'm busy with work and not managing anything else but the swimming - which I do now love. Still no decision from DLA - I've managed to get the anxiety down to the half an hour before postie comes - hey, it's progress!

I know what you mean actually, I used to schedule going swimming with the days I'd have a shower and wash my hair. No point doing extra is there? ;)

lol! I nearly mentioned it but thought I'd give her a day or so's grace ;)

Ta very much :D I'll have my gold star now please :D

Not quite made it into the shower...I dropped DF of at bible study and drove off, then got a text on my way home to say that the church was all locked up, so not sure what that's about! Shower's running and tea's on though so I've got a deadline to be out and dry by! Must dash...!! lol

 Jo...we know you're not a stalker...just a lurker :D Oh, and let us know when the decision comes through! Aparently there's a backlog or someat at the mo so don't stress too much eh?

jo last year it took 2 or 3 months before my decision about my renewal came. i think they were punishing me for taking so long over sending them the forms back, they sent me a few reminders. try not to worry too much. nice to see you pop in, also nice to know you are lurking, i was just thinking about you earlier and wondering if you were still reading along so im pleased you are.

bz i think you deserve two gold stars actually :D and indeed doing extra would be really unecessary. thats partly why i decided not to change gyms, the 2 aqua classes i would go to at other gym were on consecutive days whihc would be no good re hair washing, twice a week is doable, 2 days in a row are not.

  • sharon Macmillan nurses are worth their weight in gold aren't they. I think counselling is a great idea - this is a massive thing you are dealing with and you'll be trying to stop your family worrying but need to be able to get your feelings out too. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for your op.

jo, I think there is a massive backlog with renewals. Am still waiting for mine 2 months on, so try not to worry too much. Nice to know that you are still around.

Right, I'm off this morning, but will try to post everyday whilst I'm away so I don't have too much catching up to do when I get back! Off to jump in the shower now.
Will be thinking of you all.
