Don't be daft cwta, I'm grateful for any advice/opinions. I might know most stuff as I've had kittens before but there will be some things that I'm ignorant to so keep it all coming. I was only 16 when I had my last kittens so wasn't the most responsible person back then.
Thanks pcl, it was never a problem for Gideon and Paddy but all the cats protection and other animal charities say that you shouldn't so I was thinking that I'm being really irresponsible. Gideon was quite a timid cat (she had been dumped when she was young so don't know what she went through) but Paddy was really thick. He used to lay on the island in the middle of the dual carriageway and bat the car wheels as they drove past. Completely mental but he never got hurt. It was humans that hurt him because he never had the sense to stay away from strangers the poor little mite. I still really miss them both. When Gideon had to be put to sleep, I held a wake for her. People thought I was completely mental but no-one knew how much she meant to me. I don't know how I even got home that day without killing myself, I couldn't see the road I was crying that much and couldn't stop.
I'm off on one again
Thanks love, that makes total sense about the night thing, I just was on a different train of thought.0 -
god you lot can talk a lot
im glad you are getting your baby tomorrow kassi didnt realise there was so much to worry about and we have 2 cats
maybe im a little too chillaxed!! I kept Sammy in until she was 6 months and had been neutered and chipped. We let her out just onto the top patio a few times and then after a couple of weeks she was let out for quite a while but she came back when she was ready
we live on quite a busy road but the cats always go out the back and at the end of our garden [which is big enough itself for them] is a huge cemetery so they have no need to go near the road
next door our neighbour has 2 siamese and they are scary  they stalk us when we are out
meemee i hope you are feeling much better soon x
sue glad you rested
LW enjoy bashing the goblins
hope everyone gets a nice peaceful night tonight xx2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

yeah cats protection refused to rehome to me when i lived on a main road. noone ever understands how much they mean to us, except those of us who understand completely.

Just read through my post and realised that what I said about killing myself sounded like I was talking about suicide. I meant I was driving and couldn't see the road for my tears so I'm surprised I didn't veer off into a lamp post or something. Just wanted to clarify
I'm off to find a cheap BB provider now cos this mobile BB is absolute garbage now they've "improved" it!!!!

Well I'm back from my travels and other than cats, I can't remember what you guys have been talking about or what I was gonna respond too. I may not own any cats and I've certainly not had any kittens but when my ex moved house and we finally let the cats back out (3 weeks I think it is that you're supposed to keep them in after a move?) we did it close to feed time (so they had a reason to come back) and put butter on their paws (so they leave a trail they can easily follow back) for the first few days and they were fine. He lives on a busy road, but with a canal running along the other side so birds and rats are brough home aplenty...eee what lovely pressies you bring home kitty...
Urm Cwta i did thinkabout the cheques but didn't have time today but I've got that appt on Wed and so got the car then and will try to remember to bank em then. I did say try though
Can't remember what else I might've wanted to say about what you lot have blathered on about, so I'll just talk about me
Lunch with sis was lovely ta pcl. I picked her brains about some of the nature things growing naturally in my natural garden...none of it means a thing to me, but hopefully it'll all make sense to DFShe said she might bring her lawnmower over and mow our lawn on thur when she goes back to pick kids up again from her MIL's as when DF tried using the one in the garage it went up in a puff of smoke, literally! It didn't work after that  Have put an ad on Freecycle for a new one (and for a wheelchair too just in case) but I doubt I'll get any biters... She should also be bringing the next book to the one I'm reading (that she'd already lent me...about 6 months ago at least tbh :shhh:) and some "loppers" (I believe they're called
) to chop the bushy/twiggy/branchy/treey/mass back with. (I did tell you it meant nothing to me!) She was looking at me in a cross between abject horror and hilarity when she was asking me could I not see the difference between the plants and the grass....oops! :rotfl:
My appointment with the CMHT nurse was neither helpful or infuriating, so it could've been worseHe did affirm that no I wasn't depressed/anxious/stressed out/obsessive/suicidal and that yes I am adapting well/managing/happy/life-affirming/goal-orientated/looking to the future and didn't think that everything was bleak but wasn't unrealistic in thinking that everything would go back to normal. He was eager to point out that CBT should only be used in the treatment of any mental health issues arising from ME, not just to treat the ME itself, and that an assessment should be done to see whether that's necessary in the first place, rather than just carting people off for useless therapy that they don't need if they don't need it. Well said young man! He couldn't understand how I'd had approx 8 sessions with the hellious CBT woman without grasping what CBT was supposed to be or even why I needed 8 sessions, let alone the rest she was suggesting, being the person that he saw in front of him! :rotfl:
I'm hoping to go to SIL and bro's over in Derby (quake now Raeh) on Easter weekend at some point, Suep, but we keep getting spanners thrown in the works - least of all my memory failing!
Going to have another try at printing the invites...wish me luck!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

If I didn't have the choice to have tall thin pre-scored card I wouldn't've got it, and then I wouldn't've bought a printer to get them printed on!! :rotfl:
Finally got the blasted things printing now :j but have yet to decide on a font!!I'm torn between 3 and everytime I ask DF he says a different one!! :rotfl:

never even crossed my mind that you could have been saying anything other than you were so upset you couldnt see clearly so didnt necessarily drive very safely.
bz yeah they reccomend 3 weeks. ive never kept cats in that long though, whitney when she came to england (while i was in tennerife) got let out with buttered paws by my housemates and sister after a few days or she might have been kept in longer. the next move after that she demanded out after she had explored the house, think it was the next day and every move since i have just let her choose when. other cats i couldnt keep in if whitney was out so they didnt stay in for 3 weeks either, tends to be about a week when i am sure they know i am mummy and this is home and then i hope for the best the first few times they go out.
i heard that the butter on paws thing was an old wifes tale, and admitedly whitney hasnt needed it, i experimented and didnt bother with buttering chloes, mostly because i could not cathc her to do so, and she never got lost either at last house or this one when we moved. im still unsure it is an old wifes tale, makes sense to me to leave them a trail, but perhaps that is dumbing down how smart cats are or something. they sure do like to clean it off their paws anyway.
now who wishes i hadnt started talking about cats?
bz good luck with the printing, and deciding on fonts. did you get to sleep earlier last night after being woken up so early?
trialia i was awake, but i managed to stay put in bed and dozed off again. hope you also got back to sleep, and the face hurts less now.
kass did you sort out the bb?
 to everyone else0
