bz i cant get in hot baths anymore and i used to love them but i feel i cant breath and i itch like mad never thought about it setting the ibs off though and you know it does on the odd occasion i try a bath
I knew it wasn't just me! :jI was itching like mad and I don't think, despite much advice to the contrary, that steam is all that good for my asthma I only tend to have a bath when I'm too knackered to stand under the shower and/or know that my muscles will seize after overexerting myself...but I guess I'll have to wait til it's sufficiently cooled before getting impatient and climbing in next time!

I honestly think a build up of various sources of stress isn't helping you; you seem to have so much on your plate all at once.
Aye, tis true. But I always knew that moving house and sorting that out, plus the wedding arrangements, plus the med changes, would take it's toll, didn't I?

I got to sleep, in the end, about 5.30am. My landlord came round at 1pm (and woke me up) to fix the leak under the bath. He reckons he's done it now, so we'll see. I got him to change the lightbulb in the kitchen though! I can't reach and I figured he could get electricuted if it wasn't dried out!! :rotfl:I also blagged him into agreeing to sort something out about the gas bill for the first month, when the defrost thermostat was set to 10 degrees instead of -5!! No wonder it was coming on when it felt like it and using up loads of gas! He called me cheeky, but in one of those "I spose you don't know what you could've got if you're not cheeky" kind of ways ;)

I really need to get this BB sorted now, it's doing my box in. I think I'll harrass DF into sorting it out when he gets home...I can't deal with Sky anymore...I'll shout! ;)

I've still got belly ache today, and the weird pain the the little toe joint... guess I'll have to do some more boring resting...although, the shelves still need screwing in on the wardrobe... ;)

P.s. I wrote that post about an hour ago...internet dropped out (told you it was doing my box in!) so I may've screwed all the shelves in and put the drawers in and ironed 2 shirts for DF by now...

PCL, I've never used a thermometer, I just watch the wax like a hawk to make sure it just melts, not burst into flames.
And my "double boiler" consists of an ancient saucepan and an old 800g size dog food tin. (A very old dog food tin - Penny's been gone for 7 years, and the last year or so of her life she was on chicken, fish and rice!)
I actually recycle wax from when I've burned candles - I buy new wick in Hobbycraft.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hi Cwta glad you're back safe. Rest up and then tell us all about it :) We missed you - did you see how few posts there were yesterday?

PCL, what can I say? I'm naughty! My toe thing is so weird. I doubt that I've actually done anything to it, and yet it's still uncomfortable and sore. I have an appt with my GP on monday anyway so if it's still like that I'll ask him. Promise. ;)

I like the sound of this candle making, but I think I have enough projects going on at the moment! I really need to get these invites done!!

Hi cwta cant wait to hear all about your trip once your fully rested up. Missed you loads.

pcl I know what you mean about finding the motivation to do something, I had a candle making kit given to me as a pressie, it sat in a cupboard for a couple of years until I passed it on to my Mum. Trouble is I loved the idea of making candles, just as Id loved the idea of cross stitching, but I think I lost any motivation I had around about the same time I got Fibro, funny that ;)
I have been a good girl and sorted out a few more pics on photobucket, I now have another album with some old holiday pics too, so I might be able to do the guest password thingy now.

Im dreading next weekend too, honestly you think he'd ask us first if it was ok dont you

im not getting notifications for this thread today :(

what i did until i could be annoyed to sit and sort through photos was create one sub album and shove everything in it iirc. then one day when i was exheedingly bored i separated everything out properly. good luck figuring it out another time sue. might be worth getting dh to put them on laptop/main computer fo ryou since he was th eone who moved them all? tbh i wouldnt be able to do that either, which is why my photos are stored online as well as on my external hd and the laptop.

bz deff mitigating circumstances. still probably best you restrained yourself though.

ibs for me gets set off at any stress or every single month without fail. i never last more than 5 mins in the bath, no matter the temp, btu when something makes my legs decide to itch it stays around for hours...unless i remember that usually magnesium helps (like it did with the restless legs) and take that.

i have managed to miss being oiut in the rain today, took car this morning to leave at garage for service, decided to carry on walking and play on swings in the park. 5 minutes after i got home it was pouring. then fetching the car this evening it was dry. went in th ekitchen and put laundry on before i sat down and by the time i sat it was pouring again.

I've never been a fan of theirs personally but whatever floats your boat love! :D

raeh, don't worry about it chicken. You have enough on your plate ((hugs))

I'm starting the cambridge tomorrow. I've been a bit naughty and lied on my form cos the first woman wouldn't let me do it less than 1200 calorie which is just a normal diet and even then I had to get the doc to sign. Am I really bad? :o I am going to consult my doc though and if she thinks I shouldn't be doing it while on gabapentin then I shall stop the meds and put up with it. Yes, I know, I know and I thought the same when bz was going on hers but it will only be temporary, probably a few months and I reckon the less weight I have to carry round, the less pain I'll be in :D

I did do it for a few weeks when I was in Ireland and I actually felt better than normal and with more energy. I lost about a stone too :T

I've forgotten what I was going to reply to now...........as usual it's all about me :rotfl:

:rotfl:You did make me laugh then Suep, but I also was sorta nervous laughing cos I thought the same when PCL posted about it! Can't believe the gall personally...

Suep I'm sorry I kept completely forgetting to congratulate you on the impending arrival of your next grandkid! Consider me suffiiciently shamed :o

Kass I'm not gonna tell you what I think you should do cos I'm sure you're intelligent enough to figure it out for yourself, especially with the doc too, (although not sure what the cambridge is - presuming it's a particular diet plan?) but if you do come off your normal meds I would make sure you stock up on various painkillers first! And IBS meds if you have it.
[By the way, I thought your Take That pun was a bit...reaching! ;)]

Raeh consider me wrist-slapped. ;) I only started on it because the flippin' BB dropped out long enough for me to start tinkering... I did ask DF to phone Sky when he got in...but I guess he lives by the philosophy of why do today what you can put off til tomorrow? He's not working til Sunday night so I'm gonna harrass him to death with chores ;)

I don't know what the deal is with the other threads, I saw something similar on another post trying to off info about cheap something or other... it got UGG-LEEE! _pale_ I really do hope Magenta is ok... :o It made me more appreciative of our merry little band here too :)

I'm still up, again. I'm in a bit of a mardy actually as DF is snoring away peacefully while I'm p'ed off with him... how do men do that? Fall asleep mid conversation so you get riled up with them, then while you're lay there seething they're blissfully unaware and peacefully sleeping! I wouldn't mind but it's nothing serious, but it's getting really frustrating cos it happens so much... :o

Tried doing the invites tonight, or starting them. But my ancient old relic of a printer can't cope with the card size, so [STRIKE]we'll[/STRIKE] I'll have to come up with a plan B. Could really do without it. Am particularly annoyed because I took the punt on buying a colour cartridge for it, and now it won't even print em! Should've just bought a nice new shiny one :(

I think I've moaned enough for now...catch ya tomorrow (well today really) folks. :o
