  • Yes, thank you s/e.
I had the pleasure of meeting s/e for lunch yesterday before I came home. She only flipped me the bird once, so I think we must have got on OK. She's as [strike]mad[/strike] nice in person as she is on here.

Possibly meeting up again in a weeks time or so and hoping that sometime soon I can go up and maybe help her with the gardening as I enjoy it and miss it and we can be two crazy old birds falling about in flower beds together.

This thread has given me so many new friends in the virtual world and in real life and I'm grateful to each an every one of you for giving me something of a life back. Before I came on here, I wasn't going to the theatre or anything and would never have dreamed of going on a trip like that on my own and it's down to you lot. Hugs to you all. :j

suep, I did go on a bit :o . The website that shows the pictures taken on the various trips is www.auroraflights.co.uk and there are some better photos there. I wanted to show you something representative of what I saw.
Aw, you're too kind Auntie Axe.

I had a lovely time - apart from the fact that the bluddy satnav dumped me on the roundabout proclaiming "you have reached your destination" with me having no clue about how to get to the building I needed. I was tempted to follow the line of satnav users we hear about and just stop dead and claim that the satnav told me to do it.

Anyway, after several wrong turns (I always include 'getting lost' time to any journey I make that I'm not 100% sure about) I did finally make it. I bet none of you have ever walked up to a strange woman in a car park and asked "Are you careful with that axe?" And then gorn orf and had fish and chips with her! [By 'eck she can talk! I'd almost lost me voice by the time we said goodbye. Oh, that means I must have done a fair bit of talking as well, doesn't it?]

Looking forward to the next time. ;)

Aaaaaww, that's a lovely thing to say! I'm not as established in our little group as most but I must say it has stopped me feeling so lonely with my condition and helped with making me realise that life isn't over. You all really inspire me how you all cope so well and that, in turn, helps me cope and keep cheerful.

I would say group hug but I just can't cope with the picture :rotfl:

I'm glad you both got to meet s/e and auntie axe and more pleased that you are going to do it again!

Hahahahaha, that's hilarious! Imagine if it wasn't her!! :rotfl:

Quite! You know, they warn you about being careful when meeting strangers off the internet - they don't tell you how to ask a question like that without looking a right fruit loop if you get the wrong person.

I was tempted! I'm just thankful they've put several sets of lights there - they gave me time to think about what I was going to do without being carried along by a wave of traffic and ending up back on the motorway and no way of turning off again for 20 miles.

  • And as you pointed out s/e, if I went up to everyone asking "Are you somebody else" it would have been very confuddling. :D

The Zippy person hasn't been around today. I wonder if her DF has locked her in one of the wardrobes :D
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Either that or the wardrobe fell on her when she was putting it together and she's still underneath it.

. That and go on safari in Africa. They're my two things I'm going to do before I pass.

that details the safari i did in kenya a couple of years ago if anyone is interested. if you get the chance go, its well worth it.

Tenmah, what everyone else said. see cab or dial for help with appeal, and do appeal. many decisions are awarded on appeal after having been turned down.

careful sounds like it was a wonderful trip, fabulous photo. now i want to go. LOL at you and s/e. must admit i ahve never considered the looks that asking if people are username would produce. ive only ever met people whose real name i knew, or groups that included at least one person i knew. glad you two got to meet :)

id guess bz slept all mornign and spent all afternoon running round doing things instead of resting.
