Payments are now starting to come through. I sent my forms off at the end of january and the £190 went into my bank account today. From what I have read there is still a huge backlog but at least they are starting to get through it!
Me too mine just checked online and mine went in yesterdayi applied back at the end of january.

I would expect you to get double the amount as onthe form it ask how many babies?? whats the point in asking if they are not giving you double.
It's one payment per pregnancy regardless of how many babies there are - I am 99% sure of this.
Can I just inform people that it is the MIDWIFE who completes this form - please don't ask your GP surgery as they can't do it?
I've had loadsa people in recently asking us to complete it and they will pick it up! It will be given by your MW when you see her at 25 weeks!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Found this, a few years ago, the 2006 pre budget said that as of April 2009 every pregnant woman would be entitled to child benefit from their 29th week

Then they changed it

And so the HiPG was born.0 -

I applied for mine in mid February, following my 25 week midwife appointment. I didn't get an acknowledgement when I sent it in, but £190 arrived in my bank account this week (20th April).0

The only problem is that the 25-week appointment is supposed to be with your GP and therefore I have to wait till I am 28 weeks to even ask my MW for the form, as I won;t see her till then.
Why on earth they can't just have them with GPs as well I don't know. I haven;t even got my MATB1 form yet.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I've got the forms here in the surgery but they can only be filled in and signed by a MW. My MW told me to book in with her at 24 weeks, no mention of GP and I know here in work we don't see any patients routinely through their pregnancy.
I guess it could be post-dated so that you can't send it off before you are 25 weeks - either that or they will change the guidelines so that you do see your MW at 25 weeks.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
