I signed the letter and gave my new accoutn details for them to deposit the refund into. THIS WAS 2 MONTHS AGO and i've still not received the refund, I've called them every week and they can't even give me an indication? what do i do?
Hello and welcome.
Well done on your success., especially with Lloyds.:beer:
I would write a quick letter and tell them you require your money now, and they have had ample time to deal with it, also tell them if you do not have this in the account before Christmas, you will have to consider going to the financial ombudsman service (FOS) on this matter and that you will also be requesting for distress compensation.
I do hope though you receive your money by Xmas and that you will not have to go as far as the FOS, as it may take some time with them.
Fingers crossed, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
Advice Please
I originally requested SARS from Egg (for a loan paid off early in 2004 with PPI of around £2,500) back in October, they cashed my cheque and I heard nothing, after 40 days sent them a secure message and they said they thought it was for credit card not loan, even though I sent to loan department and had account numbers on my letter. Got credit card statements which I didn't need.
Now I've been sent letter saying they require ID and fee for DSIR, which I said I had paid (they now agree i dont need to pay again). After going backwards and forwards with them by secure message they still won't tell me what ID they require just that it has to be from within past 3 months.
Do I assume ID is utility bill with address on it? Should I just skip this step and go straight for claiming it back. Help am getting fed up with lack of information from Egg and not answering my questions.0 -

Hi Andi
They should have obliged by the SAR by supplying all that applies, this should include everything they hold on you, so more than statements etc.
I would request they get on with this as soon as possible, and supply them with something with yes your address on it, I sent a copy of my council tax bill, if you have one of these or maybe tax credit letter with (not the full letter), but just the part of where it shows your name and address that should be fine.
Tell them you will have no option as they did cash in the money for a SAR request so that you will contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

Do not pay them again, tell them your aware the payment of £10 have already been debited for this request.;)
Good luck Andi, please keep us posted. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Wutus
Hope your well.
So annoying when this happens, just because it was sold online, they all seem to be fobbed off with this excuse.
If this is not the final response then write to them again and request they reconsider by 14 days, because despite purchasing online you still have your reasons.
If they still don't change in your favour then move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), who will consider this for you and are also getting used to dealing with people who have been fobbed off with these responses, just because of purchasing online.
Good luck, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks I will read this letter again but I also remember them saying in the letter that at the time of online application my husband was a receptionist (its his account) ha ha obviously wrong so whether we mis typed it when filling the online form in i dont know but my husband is not a receptionist and he is self employed so we would not have needed it..
Thanks again I am well and hope you are too..0 -
Hi there
This is Lloyds all over.
Just as long as the 8 weeks have passed then you can if you want to now go to the FOS, if you want to give them more time its up to you, as I think they will still get back to you.
Maybe give them another week and see if you receive anything, then take it from there.
Hope you do hear soon with some good news, fingers crossed.;)
As always, thanks to Di & Marshallka for their prompt and insightful replies. My first instinct was/is to wait it out until New Year with LTSB. I'll keep everyone posted - hopefully my experience with them will help others on here with the "dreaded" Lloyds.0 -
Hi all,
Can anyone Help?
I was on the phone to RBS today asking why the letter I sent to them, in reply to thier letter stating that they are looking into my claim and they should get back to me in 8 weeks well that time line past. So I called them and they have stated to me "that they have been told by the FSA to hold claims until the final decision by the FSA has been made" is this a bluff or not?
Should I send the second letter to them?
2)
I have been told that Lloyds are upholding my complaint and they will settle with me, That was nearly 2 weeks ago. How long do you need to wait before hassling them?
3)
I have sent the 1st letter to Black Horse and the refused, so I sent the second letter to them and they have progressed the letter to up the ladder. it has been nearly 6 weeks since they recieved the letter, as I called them today and they stated they recived it on the 7th November. Do you think that I should send the final letter or again is this a stalling tactic?
I would be gratefull for any advise, and I would againg to thank the owner & contributors to this well designed and informitive site for the Joe Public. It is time to rise up against the big boys!!!0 -
In addtion can you email these banks directlyor is this a bad idea?0

Hi THere
RBS bank charges they are correct that they are not paying out at the moment. THE OFT are deciding after their recent defeat whether to proceed further with this.
Lloyds I would give them 2 to 3 months to receive your payment. This seems to be the normal at the moment.
With your third one you usually give them 8 weeks to respond. It is usually best to send letters by recorded delivery so you know when they arrive. After the 8 weeks send them a further letter saying that if you do not hear you will take it to the FOS. I would try to get things sorted at branch level though rather than FOS as the wait is at least 18 months at the moment.
You could e mail the directors but I think you will no get very far. There are so many people claiming that they have systems in place to deal with this at the moment.
Good luck and keep us posted.:mad:0
