I'm sure this has been asked, but can't find anything on it.
Is it possible to claim back PPI on a loan which started and ended more than 6 years ago? My mum has had several over the years and has had a disibility for 17 years which would have prevented her claiming (she also didn't work!)
She has one bank loan which has been 'topped up' over the years, adding a new loan onto the original, I'm not sure if the account number is the same though- but would this count as one continuous loan and therefore would she be able to claim back from the original start date (ie could have been about 12 years ago?)
Fianlly, if she requests a SAR will they disclose everything on every account she has with them (ie, credit card. loan and bank account etc) or does she need a separate SAR for each account with the same bank???
Thanks in advance for all your help, and keep fighting with the bank charges!!0 -
Hi
I wrote to Barclays claiming misselling and got sent the usual 4 week delay letter plus a form to fill in requesting further details.
I did complete this when claiming ppi from B Card, but is it worth completing these or are they trying to catch me out? Have others sucessfully claimed without returning these?0 -

Hi Putty, hope your well.
You can always tell them to refer to the form you completed from the B Card.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Putty,
We also got the questionnaire which we filled in with basic details and asked them to refer to our details they had on file even though the original cc was with goldfish. I think its worth doing this.
We sent original complaint 20 sept filled in questionnaire, sent reminder letter 2/12/09 saying we would like their decision within 14 days of receipt of the letter. Received offer of full refund, interest & 8% interest on the 9th december.
Hope this helps and that you get a successful outcome.

Hi all. I was wondering whether anyone had experience of dealing with Littlewoods Personal Finance. I think they are part of Barclaycard now. I sent a letter six weeks ago regarding PPI on my credit card that I have recently paid off. I have heard nothing at all from them yet. Should I send a reminder as it is close to 8 weeks?0

Hi all. I took the card out in July 2006. Yes I did send 1st one by recorded delivery and I checked and they did get it. I think I have a case as I was on maternity leave when I took the card out and I did tell them I was notgoing to go back to work at the end of it, which was only 2 months after I got the card but they said I should have it anyway. It was only when I paid off the card and I was getting rid of all the paperwork that I realised how much it had actually cost me, just in 3 years!0
