I've come accross my first issue, Loans.co.uk are in administration & Money Expert have bought their website. Just rang the number for them, they answered money expert & said all i can do i write to the FSA who will hear my complaint.
What shall i do, as i doubt i can get my money back from a company in administration.
Many Thanks
Richard
Arh right of course, in this case you need to make a claim with the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS), ring them up and ask if they have these listed with them, they will then arrange to send you the claim form.

Let me know what they say please Richard.
I have just been successful with a case claimed through the FSCS and other as well in regards of other businesses.;)

Thanks Di,
Rang FSCS, they advised can only claim if agreement incepted after 15th Jan 05 & to ring Paragon (loan provider) to get copy of original loan agreement.
Then need to e-mail FSCS to make formal claim.
Rang Paragon, luckily agreement was incepted 5th Dec 05 so i'm ok to claim, just need to wait till copy of agreement arrives & then write to FSCS & see what happens.
Thanks again for your help, and i'll let you know what FSCS initial reply is once i've made the claim.
Thanks

Hey all!
It's now been the usual 8 weeks since I started the reclaiming process with LTSB, they've done the minimum required - I've received the standard letters.
Last Friday (12th), I got a letter stating that they needed more time to investigate before they could make a decision. Is this also standard delay tactics ... do I give them more time or get my FOS form filled in now?
Thanks in advance to everyone who can help/advise0 -

Hi there
This is Lloyds all over.
Just as long as the 8 weeks have passed then you can if you want to now go to the FOS, if you want to give them more time its up to you, as I think they will still get back to you.
Maybe give them another week and see if you receive anything, then take it from there.
Hope you do hear soon with some good news, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

It was Loans.co.uk that sold me a paragon loan, all the mis selling was done via Loans.co.uk, and not Paragon.
So going on what you said, do i go along the "you've been fined for mis selling" route, rather than the "you've mis- sold me" route.
Does it matter that the only info i have is the Paragon loan reference, what other info will i need to write a complain letter & register my claim.
Thanks again

Hello
I hope someone can assist me.
I took out a loan for 25,000 back in October 2007, with PPI. When I came to make a claim on the insurance I was advised that I was not eligible. I claimed for missold PPI (using the templates from MSE) in January 2009 and on chasing the lender for a response was advised that they had not recieved my claim. I resent the claim on 25 June 2009 which was upheld. On 3 August 2009, they made a full and final offer of 5,251.00 with 3,400.49 to be credited to the loan account and 1,850.51 to be paid directly to me and confirmed that the repayments would not be reduced. I had claimed interest and requested a breakdown of the offer but this has not been provided to date.
My understanding was that the premium was more in the region of 8,500 (however I am unable to access my loan documentation as it is in storage). I had also made a disclosure request and despite chasing for this, this has not been provided to date.
I am not being chased by the lender (who is sending me e mails to "contact them urgently") for my decision on the offer. I have advised that I am unable to consider the offer without a breakdown or disclosure. It also says in the letter that I have six months from the offer date to contact the FSO.
Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do?
Many thanks0 -
Hi
I'm sure this has been asked, but can't find anything on it.
Is it possible to claim back PPI on a loan which started and ended more than 6 years ago? My mum has had several over the years and has had a disibility for 17 years which would have prevented her claiming (she also didn't work!)
She has one bank loan which has been 'topped up' over the years, adding a new loan onto the original, I'm not sure if the account number is the same though- but would this count as one continuous loan and therefore would she be able to claim back from the original start date (ie could have been about 12 years ago?)
Fianlly, if she requests a SAR will they disclose everything on every account she has with them (ie, credit card. loan and bank account etc) or does she need a separate SAR for each account with the same bank???
Thanks in advance for all your help, and keep fighting with the bank charges!!Pay off as much as you can in 2011: £780/£8000Vouchers through surveys/shopandscan: £10/£250Ebay/Paypal target for 2011: £109/£10000 -
