Just found another page to it (like you said mostly rubbish), but it does then break down the two payments, but they have charged interest on the PPI.

But hang on, there is also the statement ' the loan is in two parts with the premium loan being the single premium payment to purchase Barclayloan protection'

I guess I have them bang to rights now? Anyone?

I have used this in my letter -

This is due to the fact that I paid a single premium for my policy that was added to the loan but did not see it through to the end of its initial term after paying back my loan earlier than planned on the xx February xxxx

    Any advice please

Hi putty, are you wanting to know if your premium was a single premium? I would definately say it was and also if it did not cover the full term of the loan and only say the first 5 years then this is another reason you can add for a missale.

    Thanks Marshalka

I just needed to be sure and then when I read the bit about single premium I thought it was. I had hoped other barclayloan claimees would answer but hey ho. Not sure about the first 5 years of the loan bit, but I believe I have enough grounds anyway in my letter.
1st class recorded here it comes!:T

putty, I am claiming with Barclays, in my letter I also stated that during the call to arrange the loan I was not given any breakdown of costs and I was not aware that I was dicussing the puchase of payment protection insurance because the only figure given to me was the total monthly repayment.
Not given any figures for the loan repayment without protection or the actual total cost of ppi nor details of how it would be financed. No explanation that the cost of the ppi premium would be added to the total cost of credit and interest added to the full term of the agreement.

Hope that helps, good luck with your claim. :T

mine says insurance premium 5537 as a payment and barclays serv c9 whatever that is as 23500, obviously the loan. In the receipts column it has one figure only as 435, nothig seperate for ppi.
This makes me think it is a single payment, but what I do not want to do is use this in the letter and they reject it.
I have quoted the usual things to in the letter like getting it cheaper elsewhere, them being fined and not being advised, but as I said earlier it is a hefty amount to lose.

Cmon Di where are you when I need help???????

    !!!!

    Hi Woppo26

If this loan is still running, you can write to them and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, ask that they send you the copy of your agreement by 12 days, post by recorded delivery.

To track down the account number, check your bank statements, this should be shown next to the monthly repayments, this way you can continue to write to complain and reclaim.
They may even send you your agreement free with their first response then.

For more on reclaiming, check the link below, with useful info, a checklist of mis selling reasons and templates, give us a yell if you require any help, good luck.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

Going back to cancelling, this seems to be the way they do this, if you do this you make sure the apr is at least the same as the existing one, or lower, this will then pay off the old/existing loan, to have a new one without the ppi, then you can still continue to reclaim then on the older/existing one of the PPI.

Lloyds are not normally that easy to deal with, but have mellowed since being in the media, remember though, if they do not resolve in your favour by the final response, you can take to the FOS.
The FOS are on to these big time at the moment in regards of PPI complaints, so it should all go okay for you.
    thanks Di3304,
but im unsure which agreement im requesting. is it the original loan agreement with the PPI, or the 2nd loan agreement that they set up to clear the original loan?

once again thank you very much for your kind help in resolving this matter, and keep up the brilliant work.

If you have 2 loans that you were mis sold the ppi on, its worth having the 2 agreements, however if you already have the account numbers for these, that is fine, you can still continue to reclaim.

If you had the one loan to pay off the other, there was a possible rebate but you can still reclaim on the remainder of it.

I have a few on going with Lloyds TSB, although they separated the complaints.

Hope this helps you, and thank you, your very welcome.:A:beer:
