Hi all, esp Showergirl and Natalie 6999,
I have received a letter from the fos today saying that TPF have agreed to settle on a goodwill basis and i have to send the acceptance letter and they will forward to TPF and i should receive payment within 8 weeks.
All in all its taken stage 1 and stage 2 letters and then complaining to the fos for them to pay up. Didnt even have to go to an adjudicator.
Happy days:beer:
How long did this take from the FOS sending their letter. Mine was sent to them on the 3/2/09.
I am really pleased for you, and your post will no doubt give Natalie some hope as she has been really down at the moment. Keep in touch0 -
Hi folks
Just very quickly as busy busy busy lol.
Heard from the Ombudsman's adjudcator by email, (out of the blue), she enclosed a copy of the letter sent to lloyds tsb by attachment, and also agrees this should be upheld, the FOS have asked them to get back by the 19th Feb with a verdict of this case.
Its a huge email lol, but looking good, catch ya lata.;)0 -
Hello there everyone,
I wondered if anyone could please tell me how long the FOS take to complete a case. I have two complaints against Black Horse that I put filed in September but not passsed to an adjudicator yet. Also wondered what the criteria was for hardship
Thanks!!!0 -

Some cases are taking up to a year, but really all claims are different depending on complexity and the company involved.
As for hardship this was what I had on a letter from the FOS:
Let us know if:
*You are experiencing exceptional financial hardship because of the circumstances connected to your complaint.
*You are suffering serious ill health, which makes it extremely important to you that this complaint is resolved quickly.
*Legal action is being threatened in relation to this case.DS1 12/10/04
