    Hello Everyone

I havent been on here for some time, but always reading new topics, i have sent off the 1st template letters to egg, natwest, A&L & in the process of sending a few more, we have had a few credit cards over the years & all have had PPI added, we did cancel the natwest & A&L PPI a few months back after realising what it was! & hoping now to hear something,
We also took out a Natwest loan 2 years ago which is still currently running, at the time we refused the PPI & we were told that 2% had been added to the loan beacuse we never took out the PPI, i wonder whether we could claim this back too?? the loan is still ongoing at the moment with approx £3000 or just under left to pay, has anyone else had this done before?
    Thank you
hi there, i think this has to be a bl**dy cheek, i would ring fos and ask about this, it is as if you are being penalised because you did not take this product. that cannot be right. let us know how you get on.
  • Hi, I have finally taken the plunge and have sent the first letters off to NATWEST and Sainsbury's to reclaim my PPI. I have received replies from both, the standard "we are looking in to your request" and a further one from NATWEST saying that they are still looking and will get back to me in 4 weeks. Looking at the forum this seems to be a delaying tactic used by most banks/lenders.

My question is - should I wait the 4 weeks or get in touch with NAT WEST? and do I wait for a responce before I send the second letter?

Thanks in advance for any reply

    Hi there

    Good luck with your reclaims.

They are entitled to 8 weeks, if you hear nothing by the 8 weeks - such as not decision as from your letter you sent, then you have the right to move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Of course they may write back to you with a decision earlier, if they have not resolved in your favour, then you need to write back to them and ask them to reconsider, you basically keep at them until they issue you with the final decision which should also enclose details of the FOS.
But as stated if you hear absolutely nothing by 8 weeks, then take your complaint to the FOS.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)

  • Hi,

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but wonder if anyone can give quick bit of advice on my Mum's Lloyds TSB loan.

She took a loan out for £7,500 over 5 years, and PPI was added.

Mum was 58 years old at time of loan, had been claiming DLA for years prior to the loan, (and still is), had breast cancer, and was effectively unemployed at the time, and is now retired anyway.

She has had a call and now a letter from a company who say she is eligible to reclaim the PPI, and will charge her 25% for a successful claim.

    3 questions:
Is she potentially eligible to reclaim?
Should she use this company, or follow the templates on here?
Have people been successful in most cases against Lloyds TSB?

I am sure the answers are all on here somewhere, and will have a proper look through this thread later.

    Thank you.

    Hello there;)

Too right your mum is entitled to reclaim on this with her reasons she has.
I am so sorry to hear of her illness and hope she have recovered okay though this.

I would do this yourself without paying out on these companies, with the help from this site with templates etc, check this link below and post back for help if required, good luck.

This way your mum will get to keep all her money which is rightfully her's.

There are more success now with Lloyds tsb, since all the news in the media, mine was successful in regards of a credit card ppi, but through the FOS, this was before the media got involved as such, I do have a few loan ppi complaints to deal with now myself.
I'm sure your mum will do okay here. X
