If they are linked together maybe you could address it to Barclays.

Scotties_Mum wrote: »Hi,
I am sorry if this has been asked before, but wonder if anyone can give quick bit of advice on my Mum's Lloyds TSB loan.
She took a loan out for £7,500 over 5 years, and PPI was added.
Mum was 58 years old at time of loan, had been claiming DLA for years prior to the loan, (and still is), had breast cancer, and was effectively unemployed at the time, and is now retired anyway.
She has had a call and now a letter from a company who say she is eligible to reclaim the PPI, and will charge her 25% for a successful claim.
3 questions:
Is she potentially eligible to reclaim?
Should she use this company, or follow the templates on here?
Have people been successful in most cases against Lloyds TSB?
I am sure the answers are all on here somewhere, and will have a proper look through this thread later.
Thank you.
Had a similar experience with my wife who was 62 when the loan was taken out with Lloyds but thankfully we have not had the unfortunate illness issue which affected your mum. Used the templates on this website and received a reply within a month upholding the complaint amd now await payment which we expect to be a tidy 4 figure sum.
Hope this helps and good luck.0 -

Hi am new to all this so would be grateful to any info.
I took out a Capital One credit card about 12 years ago and have been paying ppi on it from the start. I am not sure what I put down at the time as my employment. Is there any way of finding out? I am sure I may have been on benefits at the time, or working a few hours a week. I am sure I applied by post, but at the time I was grateful of any credit.
Then a few years later I applied for an Egg Card and have been paying ppi on that one too. I have never been in full time work in these 12 years as I have been a stay at home mum or just worked a few hours a week in a playschool.
What are my chances of getting anything back? And how can I find out what I actually put on my application form.
Please help0 -

Hi There use the template on this site and adapt to your purposes. If you are sure you were unemployed or full time mum then put that in your letter it is up to them to prove otherwise. A lot of the time these companies made you opt out of the PPI so when you filled the form in right at the bottom of the form in tiny writing you would have had an opt out box. This is now seen as bad practice. You have nothing to lose just the price of a stamp.
Send the letter and give them 40 days to reply and then let us know of their response. Send by recorded delivery just to make sure the letters do not get lost in the post;) Good Luck:mad:0 -
