    Hi there
    Yes this is fine.
And of course being sold a Single policy for example which would only cover you for 5 years for a loan of say 20 years, this type of policy are now banned and are frowned upon.

If they did not explain to you the full cost of the policy, exclusions, the list goes on, with the interest added its very extortinate indeed.

    Go for it, good luck.
i agree with di, you go for it! good luck and keep us posted x

    Many thanks

    Hi there

Its up to you, maybe send one to both but make both aware you have written to the other, at least you know you will get a response from at least one of them who should confirm if they are responsible or not.

(At least you have covered this then - buts its up to you.);)

    Good luck.

    Hi all

I received an offer from Lloyds TSB for compensation on my PPI. I sent the acceptance forms back but heard nothing for a month. I then received advice from here and posted them another letter, this time Rec Delivary, a week ago and still nothing. No reply to my letters, no refund.

Should I take any further action now or just sit tight and wait for it?

    Hi there
    Good news on your success.

I would chase them up by ringing them and ask if they have sent anything out yet, even though there were no postal strikes last week I believe there have been backlogs, so just in case its still within the post, check with them to make sure.

However, it seems that many posters on here are in the same position, and have been in touch with lloyds tsb, who confirmed there is no timescale on paying the cheques out, so if they say this to you, and not given a timescale you are entitled to contact the FOS on this and see what they say about it.

You could give them your own timescale first, say about 14 days then if you not received your cheque then contact the FOS.

I think personally - as they are over-run with these complaints, they have a job to keep up, since the news in the media, they do seem to be paying up and mellowing, so this could be another reason for delay..........just maybe.

I do hope though you receive your refund very soon, good luck and please keep us posted.;)

  • Well, another wee update to say still no cheque from Sainsburys nearly two and a half months after the FOS advised thy would be contacting me with a settlement. More than a bit cheesed off about this as it's been over 2 years now, and I really had though it would all be sorted by the end of this year, but I really can't see that happening now.

It feels like nothing but lies and excuses all the time.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Thanks for the reply!

It does actually say on the letter I received from Loyds TSB that they will action the refund to me as soon as they receive the accepteance sheets from me.

It's a good point about the backlogs, I may give them another couple of weeks and then get on the phone to them.

    Thanks again.
