Hi meeely3, was it Barclays in Ireland that sold you the PPI insurance?
I think you needed to send it to Firstplus and not the Ireland addy.

    Customer Care Team
    Firstplus Financial Group Plc
    The Avenue Business Park
    Pentwyn
    Cardiff
    CF23 8FF

I know this might seem like a pain but can you perhaps do a copy to this address also if this is a misselling complaint. I take it it is and that it was Firstplus that actually sold you the loan and PPI and you did not use a broker?

First Plus sold me the loan yes - but on the back of my FIRSTPLUS Payment Protection Plan I was quoted the Barclays Ireland Address for contact and complaints.....

If its for misselling the policy its usually to Firstplus in Cardiff. I know the address for the insurance policy is Ireland but like I say, mostly complaints go to FP here. They may pass this on but I would not hold your breathe. I know its hard but could you do a copy and send it to FP at the address above as well and then you can be sure it got there.

It should not cost much for recorded delivery again.

I am saying all this because this is a complaint for the misselling of the policy isn't it? It would have been FP (or a broker which was asked before!!) that sold this to you.

Flipping 'eck - well I can't escape the office for a second time today, so will have to wait til tomorrow - won't it cause confusion raising it with First Plus too? Should I wait for them to NOT forward it and reply to me saying "who are you" and then send to First Plus as well (who are actually Barclays at the end of the day).

SOrry, was just wanting you to see it so highlighted as would not want you to write to FP and it to have been sold by a broker.;)

It should be FP you raise it with in the firstplace. The Ireland address is only for the PPI documents and not the loan etc or the sale of the PPI. I realise they are owned by Barclays and the insurance is Barclays Insurance but they are not appointed representatives of Barclays so they are not anything to do with as such in case like this. It is annoying.
