Please post back Mark and hope they get a good ticking off or even "striking off" TBH. These companies are just ripping off those already ripped off and desperate.
  • i had a look on MOJ and they have the same company listed twice on 2 different years and 1 is a PLC company and the other is an LLP trading company?
Don't know if that means they have changed there name slightly because they were struck off before not to sure but I will keep you posted

One was a Public Limited Company and then the other a partnership (Limited liability partnership) tax reasons!!!. Its always dodgy when they close and open anyway so i think you have a good chance of getting this charge squashed. It may only take a letter to them and they may offer to call if quits under "goodwill". They will not want MOJ on their back at a time like this as they are hitting hard on claims management type companies at the moment. I hope you post back and let us know how you go on.
  • I wrote to Blackhorse on 30/09/09 assking for a copy of the loan agreement. Today I have received a statement of account listing charges and payments on the account and not a copy of the agtreement. I have read somewhere on this site that I need a copy of that.
Any advise on what I do next? Should I write to them again asking for it? Is there a template letter for that?
    Please help.

    Hi there.

You could write by enclosing a £1 postal order or cheque payment, to request for a copy of your agreement, where then you should expect to receive this by 12 days, however, if the account is no longer active, this is not always the case that they still hold these, but maybe it would be a good idea to instead, by requesting a Subject Access Request (SAR), they have 40 days to comply and send everything they still hold on you, there is a payment of £10 cheque or postal order for this request.

The template for a SAR letter on the link here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553

Post by recorded delivery as well for your proof of posting.

If they cannot send you any of your SAR, they should write to explain why and return your payment.

Good luck with this, hope this helps.;)

    Hello there.

I think since all the news in the media, that Lloyds TSB seem to have mellowed and also seem to be upholding complaints more now, where before this, they were one of the highest of them to reject them.

Mind did actually go to the FOS, this was a while ago now, and was resolved through them, good luck with yours and please keep us posted.;)

    Thanks Di :D

I was a bit surprised with their fast response (I'd read about them being awkward on here). I even got a very shiny leaflet telling me all about the time limits and steps, as well as my right to take it to the FOS.

    Fingers crossed ....

You don't always need a copy of the agreement to make a complaint first. You can actually complain without it if you have an account number etc.

    Okay,

After reading on here on how to claim PPI back I sent a letter to Natwest requesting that they pay back the PPI as it was missold, my girlfriend is the one who took out the loan and she suffers from Crohn's. The guy who sold it said it would be covered.

    Anyway....

We recieved letters back stating they were looking into it when we decided to use debt advisory to manage our debts whilst my partner was on the phone they said they could help claim PPi back, so my partner was put throught to Investor compensation. She informed the guy that we had already started the claims process and he said that they would take over because it more difficult to be done by ourselves and it could take upto 6 months to recieve any money back.

About 3 weeks later we recieved a letter from Natwest stating that they accepted the claim and would refund us the £1,895 of PPI back, a day later we got a call from Investor compensation asking for £544.08 for services they carried out.

I asked why I should have to pay the money to them when I had carried out the work myself and informed them of the fact that they had lied to get my partner to sign the form.

Now they are calling 5-6 times a day and it is really beginning to put a strain on my partner as she has enough to worry about with her illness.

I have e-mailed a complaint to them about 7 times now and still haven't had a response, I stated I was willing to pay the cost of posting the letter that a computer printed for them to Natwest as this is all I believe I should pay.

I would like some advice and even better if someone is in the similar situation as myself on what my next step on getting this agreement cancelled.

P.S I know it was stupid signing up but I believe my girlfriend was confused when they spoke to her and shouldn't be punished with a bill of this amount for myself doing all the work.

    Thanks

    Mark
Hi Mark - take your complaint to the claims management regulation unit - you'll need to get the companies CRM NO. the website is www.claimsregulation.gov.uk
