It would be interesting to see if the other Ocean claimers on here have had anything like this as I think one posted that Ocean where in talks withe the FOS0

Same here. They have been trying to sort out where my complaint lies since April 2008 really although it was September/october last year that they decided to make the complaint against the insurer. I think its really annoying all this waiting and really and truely I get different messages each time I call. I almost feel like its wrong for calling.thanks for that
I do hope it is moving as it has been with the FOS for nearly 12 months now and 13 months from my first letter of complaint
I only want to know if they are going to recover any money for me but all they say is "no news on it yet". Lets hope this wait was actually worth it then for both of us. 0 -

I agree the lack of information is frustrating and the time it takes to do anything is just plain daft0 -
Thank you Marshallka for you reply, fos said they were going to contact the underwriters. fingers crossed for us both then. If they dont get no where i might try myself through the courts. They were regulated in oct 2004 and because i took it out in june 2004 they couldn't help. Just my luck. Can I ask, are FOS writing on your behalf to the underwriter.I have a complaint in that is similar against the insurer and its been there since last september now and I rang yesterday and they told me they have no idea how long this will be as there are loads of legalities regarding these claims. I would let them have a go for you as you have nothing to lose really.0 -
Good morning, May i ask when you took the loan out through loans.co.uk because i took mine out in june 2004 and the fos can't help me.I have 2 claims currently with FOS and they have been there over 18 months:
One against loans.co.uk which was upheld by adjudicator in April and went to final decessions team in July and they still are negitiating with loans.co.uk so they said today
The other with Ocean Finance which came to a sudden stop after adjudicator made decission to uphold as they are suppose to be in negotations with FOS for all there claims.
This seems like a never ending process and I feel like I am fighting a losing battle as FOS do not like to keep people informed on what is happening and all they say when you ring is we are negotiating.... Question is how long do they need to negotiate?0 -
I hope you win also. Its so annoying when FOS don't actually know anything about what they are trying to achieve and it is frustrating too. I was told that the insurer has to be "tied" to the lender/broker and its hard to prove. I cannot see why and just hope that these complaints actually start to move very soon. I am getting fed up now of being up with it one minute and then down the next. Its really taking its toll now and i just want this ended.Thank you Marshallka for you reply, fos said they were going to contact the underwriters. fingers crossed for us both then. Good luck to you too.0 -
Hi, i have a PPI claim going through against Eloans TwoPart Ltd. It has been sent through to Deloitte as the FSCS had said it had taken themselves too long to sort out (Claim was put in to the FSCS at the beginning of this year).
I have spoken to Deloitte to find out if they can give me some idea of how long this will take and to try and get an idea of the success rate for these claims but they said they can't give me an answer to either question.
They have said that we are right at the front of the queue as we were one of the first to claim.
Has anybody else dealt with Deloitte that could give me some kind of idea of how long these things take?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello I have a case with Deloitte in regards to Picture Financial, who were declared in Default beginning of July, the first payments are just being made so has taken just under 3 months from then.
I think two part were declared in Default beginning of September, so it really shouldnt be too long now.
Hopefully Di who also has a claim with the same company as you will be on with some news/adviceDS1 12/10/04

I was thinking it would be dragged out for another year or so but that's fantastic news. Thank you

Hi Louise, hope your well.;)
It has been confirmed that Twopart has finally gone into default on the 9th September, Deloittes been have also recently been in touch to say they are assessing my claim as well, so yours should not be long now.
Mine been with FSCS since approx July last year and ref number one, so you should not be too long waiting either, if I hear anything in the meantime I shall let you know.;)
The FSCS did confirm from default it can take up to 6 months, but if your at the beginning of the queing system like myself, then it should be way before that, hope that helps. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
