PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

I think that you would have had to have had extreme circumstances for not making the complaint in time. There are a few on here like this at the moment and there are mixed replies but someone has just posted on here saying that its the business who can tell FOS "its not within your jurisdiction" if they want i think. I would not listen to anyone really other than FOS so its up to you if you give it a go but please expect to be rejected and anything else will be a bonus. I think sometimes FOS take on complaints and then months down the line they are told by the business that the jurisdiction is not theirs.I tried to reclaim PPI which I believe was mis sold to me 18 months ago and my claim was rejected by EGG and stupidly I did not pursue this. Is it possible to try and claim again or have I missed my chance by not taking this to the FOS at the time? The policy was sold to me in 2003.0 -

Hi Dazman
You put the figures into the bank calculator which will work it out for you.

Hi All,
Sorry to jump in;
I would like to make a PPI claim for a barclays loan. This was taken out in 2002 & 2 years later i entered a DMP due to redundancy. Now i didn't know i had insurance as i could've claimed, instead i defaulted & entered DPM.
In 2009 I requested a CCA and it not supplied so the account entered dispute and still is to date.
my questions are -
can i make a claim for the 2 years i paid insurance as it was clearly mis-sold in my opinion???
Also, the same story with barclaycard that is also in dispute. Can I make a PPI while the account is in dispute??
thanks in advance,0 -

Yes you can but you may not get all or any of your money back if they were to uphold your complaint because they can take the refund money off any arrears/outstanding balance.0 -
The waiting drives you daft - how you guys (picturites etc) are keeping sane I don't know. I only started my claim early August & I'm already going daft. I used to be a work late every night type & now I'm out the door at 5 to get home to check the post & the wee sinking feeling in you tum when there's nothing there. Any tips on staying sane from the long termers?0

Hi there
Hey your very welcome here
.
It makes no difference if your account is in dispute or not, active or settled and so on, so with your reasons, go for it.
And again if DMP it makes no difference at all.
Due to being mis sold you have obviously been out of pocket which not helped along your debt issues, so on reclaiming and if successful, the money should be yours, although they may try to refund towards the loan balance etc, they all vary.
For more information on reclaiming check this link here below, with guidelines of reclaiming with templates etc, and please feel free to post up for help if required.

Good luck with this and keep at them, if they do not resolve in your favour by the final decision, move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).
