Hi the finance was settled in 2005,I ahave given them the exact date it was taken out & when it was settled.

What about a SAR (Subject access request) where the account number details should turn up with this?;)

Good one Pinknico, glad you mentioned this, I forgot all about the credit report.;)

rocjescai if you decide to want to send a SAR if you have not done so yet, there is a charge of £10 postal order or cheque payment for this, where they should send everything they hold on you since taking out your finance.
They have 40 days to comply.
    Details with template below.;)

I know you have no account number to add to the letter but providing they have your personal info, they must comply, if they do not they must explain why in writing and send your payment back to you.;)

I would ring the Information Commissioners office (ICO) about this, even if they no agreement they must hold your account details of what you have had from them in the last 6 years. (which should disclose account numbers amongst the paperwork).

    ICO here:
    https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx

They should be able to advise you in this case, good luck.;)

    Hi there.

Not sure what actually happens in regards if your on IVA, but I would maybe post about this on the above thread of either
    debtfreewannbe thread here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=76

    or

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=136

I think there have been many in the same situation after reclaiming, so worth checking posts on those above links, and posting up on this for some answers.
I'm sure someone will be able to advise you on this.

Good luck and well done on your reclaim.;)

    Hi Steve and Sarah

I would ring the FOS on this tomorrow and they will guide you from here, details here:
    financial ombusdman

Explain your letter response to them, many cases to what I am aware of within loans.co.uk are being dealt with by the FOS.

Good luck, please keep us posted, and the FOS will help you.;)

Almost forgot to add, that don't think loans.co.uk sells finance now, so its taken up with the FOS instead, there are many on here who are in the same situation, but your complaint will not be turned away - you will be ok.

Phoned up the Ombusdman this afternoon and explained to him what I had done and where I sent letters. Explained that i couldn't find loans co uk anywhere to contact them and that their website had been sold to money expert com loans co uk takes you there....

Explained i had a letter back and din't know wehat to do....

they took the loan reference and said they would be writing to loans co uk. Also said they would be sending a letter to us and this includes the forms to fill in if the response we get from loans co uk isnt a good one so they can take it further.....

they are extremely helpful people and I told them too..

so....we sit and wait......I hope we've had ppi now all this time...feel like a right dingbat if we havn't......lol

    thanks for all your advice....

  • I tried to reclaim PPI which I believe was mis sold to me 18 months ago and my claim was rejected by EGG and stupidly I did not pursue this. Is it possible to try and claim again or have I missed my chance by not taking this to the FOS at the time? The policy was sold to me in 2003.
