I sent one lettler claiming that they had mis sold the cover because my husband was self employed and they failed to tell us that he would not be covered even though he was the named person on the insurance!!! When his work dried up this year I tried to claim and was told he wasn't covered and never had been and to top it off they said that I could not cancel the cover and would have to keep paying it....... It took them eight weeks after I sent my letter but they sent a letter saying that they did not agree that it had been mis sold but they were making us an offer out of good will!!!!!
We do have three months arrears so I understand why they are going to use it to clear that. The loan was over four years and should end end of Oct next year, not in 18 months time which they are claiming, I do have the paper work to proove this, should I insist that the new loan ends inline with the paper work I have or will this make them withdraw the offer?
Thank you for all of your help.0 -

Have you a bank statement, which would disclose the account number on repayments?
If not if you have an online bank account, this should allow you to go back approx 6 years, check on there if you do, this way you should retrieve your account number.;)
Have you tried requesting for a copy of your agreement from the finance company?
Oops sorry just edited to repost, you have already requested for your agreement.
For them to track this down, give them as many details as possible, can you remember the year this was taken out?
Any different addresses then and surnames etc.
You seem to have done that as well.
When was this finance settled? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
