Hello all,
Im brand new on here so excuse me if this is already covered.
I have already claimed back PPI on my two credit cards with one of those companies that charge.
I was wondering if you can claim back PPI on catalogue accounts,I was pressured into taking it on I think it was called Account Cover Plus which is virtually the same thing- anybody done this before? Any advice would be very halpful thank you0 -

If you take a look at the reclaim section here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
It will give you an idea of how to go about it. There is also a template letter there but its always best to do your own with your own words and reasons. ALways send correspondence recorded delivery. You then give the company 8 weeks for a full and final response.
Good luck0 -

Marbles are owned by HFC bank. hmmmm not sure why you have a letter from halifax then must be something else that. good news though i have had success claiming ppi from HFC bank too they settled as a 'goodwill' gesture after i complained about them to the FO. HFC are like RBS they have an agreement with the FO where they are settling without going as far as an adjudicator (good for the little people) still takes few month though. My reasoning behind it is that they are avoiding further investigation and fines?? Make sure u check the refund amount is right i wouldnt trust them to get it right especially the statutory interest award
Hiya,
I want to write to Aqua to try to claim back the PPI i never asked for! Cheeky beggars! Just wondered who you wrote to as i know they are regulated by Halifax? Do you have an address at all? Thanks for your help in advance.

hi, can anyone help please? today i received a letter from HFC agreeing to refund me my PPI. its been with the FO for 20 months so i suprised its actually happened. they have told me they are going to knock it off what i owe them which is just over £10k. i am behind in payments but have agreed a repayment plan and have stuck to it. can they do this or have i any chance of receiving the money personally?
would appreciate any help.

Hi Gareth and welcome.;)
Unfortunately they can do this, but if you not in arrears, even though you still have an active loan, you can ask if they are willing to consider refunding this directly to you.
If the FOS have been dealing with this, then contact them to ask them, and if you no arrears, then let the FOS know.
Tell them you have been out of pocket due to this and feel its only fair that they compensate this directly to you, where you should have a choice of how you want to spend this, it may be worth a try.
Give it a go, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I would class payment plans as arrears as you have not kept up with the original repayments so most probably classed the same. I bet most people on payment plans have actually been in arrears before going onto them. BUT then again, would you be in arrears if the PPI had not been added? I think they shoud look into the amount of arrears and then make the decisions like that.
Be interesting to see the outcome here though.0 -
Hi, Im new to this so please bare with me.
I had taken ppi and now trying to reclaim. But i have lost my paperwork. I was with HFC bank. I have been calling them for them the past few weeks to get copies for my loans but this has resulted in nothing.
I would like to add that the loans have been paid off now!
What should i do?0 -
Sorry i forgot to add that the initial loan was taken out in 1999. The second one a few years after that. The third one was taken a few years after consolidating the other two. I paid the loan off in 2007ish.
Do i have a case?0
