First time posting for me! Rang FOS two days ago to make sure my PPI claim had'nt got lost/forgotten about....anyway, had a call yesterday from an adjudicator who has just been assigned to my case. He asked a couple of questions but obviously could not say how much longer the process would take. My question is; if everything is straightforward am I looking at weeks rather than months now until this is concluded?
Hello and welcome.;)
Glad to hear that your case has now been assigned with an adjudicator, may I ask how long you have been waiting?
If straight forward then yes it can be a matter of a few weeks, hopefully this will be the case for you.
Failing that, if the business do not agree to uphold, it may have to be moved on again, so basically as this can vary, there is no actual timescale.
For example some are known to be 6 weeks and other well over a year if it becomes too complexed, good luck with yours, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I have just spoken to MBNA re my first complaint letter on a single premium policy applied to a loan pre 2005. I have been told they will not uphold my complaint.
So, I am getting my 2nd letter ready to threaten them with the ombudsman. However, I wondered if anyone had any useful advice/comments re how to beef this up?
I will mention that single premiums are now to be banned etc but any other advice would be great.
Thanks!
So, I received my letter and they basically say the same as they do with most people, our calls are not all monitored etc and we believe we did not mis-sell...
I had already posted a response to them on the back of one of their advisers reading out the letter. I have threatened a small claims action as I am quite confident on the single premium mis selling element.
However, they have said in their letter they will not enter into correspondence with me further. Do you think when they do receive my letter re court, they will just ignore it?
Thanks.0 -

Hi beaniebabe we have moved in now but its not going too good really i am not settled and want to go back home rung the FSCS yesterday still no joy this time I got 'Picture were declared in default on the 8th July and our case has been outsourced to deloitte it should be sorted by Jan 2010 we are ticked as a priority so could be sooner' great no further really. I have typed out a letter to Gorden Brown and am going to email it to every bloody sorry MP when I get online again. Hope you are well.;)
Sorry to hear that Dialysis. I hope things settle down a bit for you. I guess it will take a bit of time to get used to your new home. Give it time things will get sorted;)
I am sure your claim will not take too long for delloites (Or diahoralite as I call them!) to process.
I am happy that you are still thinking positive and its great that you have written to GB.
Take care. XX;)0 -
Brilliant news Pinknico......:T:T
We received a copy of our sighed declaration and consent form from delotties yesterday (it was the one with the form we sent to FSCS), nothing else at the moment though, hope they move on with Picture very soon then, fingers crossed.;)XX
Was the signed declaration form for your picture loan or for another.

Hi beaniebabe.;)
My case is with Twopart Ltd/Eloan.co.uk
Deloittes confirmed they made a mistake on sending it out, but not to worry as it was only a copy. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
