No, they have been manualy ticked and if i had to tick them it wouldn't look like the way they have done it. Even if they have done it and send it to me to sign they will argue i just signed and agreed, am i right?

    Hi hun
This is a common issue and yes they can try to argue this but most of the time the FOS are with you on this, so do not give up on this, you still have a good chance here.;)

    Hi

I have just spoken to MBNA re my first complaint letter on a single premium policy applied to a loan pre 2005. I have been told they will not uphold my complaint.

So, I am getting my 2nd letter ready to threaten them with the ombudsman. However, I wondered if anyone had any useful advice/comments re how to beef this up?

I will mention that single premiums are now to be banned etc but any other advice would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hi hun
Sorry to hear this, they are playing hard to get, but your doing the right thing by writing back.
Tell them you still believe the PPI was mis sold to you despite them not upholding your complaint, and if they do not resolve this in your favour, you will not hesitate to take this matter further, as such with the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).
Unless you feel there is anything to add, then that is it really, but this way your following the correct procedures, good luck.;)

    Thanks Di.

I thought I may add something about the ban in 2010 and the FSA position on that to see of they might accept they are wrong. Hey ho!

It takes a long time to make a house and home dialysis but you will get there. It will all come together but you still have the bitterness there perhaps from the Picture loan and this is still not settled so you cannot begin to heal yet. I think once this is done and dusted you can then begin to accept what has happened and move on. I think its quite natural to feel as you do. I hope they sort it for you real soon and that there is more that you can do than just get your redress back for the PPI. Time is a healer they say and you need to give yourself time.
