hi everyone!! well i got a response from rbs with regards to my ppi claim and again they have offered a good will gesture payment of £750 and advised me to go to the fos if i wont accept (i allready have one other account with them) so here i go again anticipating another long wait arrrrgh.

i have a question with regards to how this will work cos this second response is in relation to the original loan i took and the other one that has been with the fos since begininng of june is the rescheduled loan, so will they lump both cases together due to the fact that the original loan was settled to reschedule this one and one loan was used to pay off the other, or will they treat it as seperate cases and how would it work if it all did go in my favour? this was a front loaded loan.

please help as i am totally lost !!!!

reading this back i have totally confused myself:confused: lol

The problem I have here, is that I passed all the information plus some of the above already to the FSCS, could not find everything at the time, but most of that above the FSCS already do have of ours.

    Hi there.;)

If they are related cases then they may do so, but depends on who's desk it ends on as well.

Saying that my hubby had 2 credit card ppi complaints both with Lloyds tsb and they ended up splitting them, you can always give the fos a ring to check on this one, I'm sure they will be able to tell you once it's gone through, good luck.;)

    Thanks amersall.;)

I will go 2 ways, both with deloitte and the FSCS.
I sent the FSCS everything possible last year, and the thing is as Twopart dissolved when I requested the SAR I could not receive anything further only what we had here from the lender, tried the insolvency service as well, they said they could not help with the documents either......

  • Hi everyone I havent been on recently as havent had much to report..... my complaint re the BOS and their charges and also their handling of our query well the FOS phoned me last week saying that the BOS have refunded this on 28th September 2008 but what they have done is put the refund in the account and backdated it to the date it should have gone in....which looks like they have done it correctly. I passed copies of my bank statements to the FOS for December, January and February which show it isnt in so fingers crossed - the FOS have advised they will ask the BOS to compensate me a few hundred pounds ni each case for stress etc so fingers crossed.

Black Horse - received letter from FOS saying they are waiting to hear from the other side and will get back to me asap.

FP/Loans.co.uk - havent heard anything from them since my last letter where I sent their questionnaire back to them so the 8 wks are up and thinking about doing a chasing letter however emailed them on Thrusday but nothing so far.

BOS - Loan - heard nothing waiting on an adjudicator

Welcome Finance - again heard nothing waiting on an adjudicator.

Also wrote to all 6 companies I have had credit cards with asking for details of the last 6 years charges and defaults etc. Waiting on replies from all of them.

Also got loans with BOS x 3 that have been paid off which all of them had PPI dated 2004 - 2006 but settled possibly in 06. Direct Loan too in 2005 with PPI so still to do the basic first letter template.

Lastly have had 3 loans with GE Finance re cars and all of them had PPI so still to do something about them - my folders in the house are getitng larger and larger hehe.

But thinking of the bigger picture at the end of it all if I am successful with all of the things I should be in receipt of over £40k which would be used to pay off 2 of the loans, namely WF and FP then I would just have my mortgage and the ones thru my DMP. Am hoping this is going to be the case anyway so optimistic I think? Not pessimistic I have to be positive had so much negativity in my life the past 4 yrs I need something poisitive lol :rotfl: Will keep you posted if and when anything happens....?

  • hi, many years ago i signed up for a bank of scotland mastercard at an exhibition, i have records back to jan 2000 but think i signed up well before this. in oct 2004 i cancelled the repayment cover, as i was informed it would never pay out on a claim because of my employment status, in sept 2006 bank of scotland changed my card to an mbna card.i cancelled this card in april 2008. repayment cover was typically £20 a month. in view of the dates and changes etc. can i reclaim ?

    Hi Chris.;)

I would certainly give it a go, some have been successful with older cases, so go for it.

For more info on reclaiming, check this link here for guidelines on reclaiming and templates, you will also see a checklist of mis selling reasons as well, so if they of them occur to you, write them all down with the reasons you have as you posted in your post.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

They have 8 full weeks to respond, keep at them until they resolve your complaints, or until you receive the final decision and post all letters by recorded delivery, as this is your proof of posting, good luck.;)

Post up for help when required and please keep us posted, cheers.
