At least by next week she can take it to the FOS and I bet they will pay up before adjudication then.
I have rang the FOS today and told them that the complaint has been in 7 weeks now and no caseworker has been assigned to it yet.
They have told me to send in the complaints form now and they will get the ball rolling and if we should get a response from A&L that we are happy with then just to let them know.
I have informed A&L that it is now going to the FOS0 -

Hi there
I sent out 3 letters re my PPI on my Mint card, Barclaycard and Capital One. The only one that has replied so far has been Barclaycard saying they are sorry I am unhappy and will try and resolve the matter by 31/07/09. Capital One were one of the companies that were fined for their PPI thing and they havent even replied yet! Cheek!
Good luck with all these, with Capital One, they probably have that many complaints to deal with, due to them being fined, it will take a little longer I expect, but hope you hear soon with some good news.
I also still have to send my bank loan one out although if I do my bank wont try and cancel my account with them will they or try and make me pay the loan back all at once will they? Just worried about that.
Do not worry, they cannot close or cancel your account with them, your only reclaiming what is rightfully yours, which you have been out of pocket for.
Ive also seen a few companies advertised about getting your ppi back and they dont charge anything at all and claim their fees from the bank they say, are these ok? Someone also sent me a private message on here with a link to one of these companies, do you think someone from these companies goes on here chasing for business? Anyone else had any private messages?
Yes there have been quite a few on here who have received these private messages, personally I think its best to try to reclaim yourself without using these companies.
Anyone had any joy with Barclaycard paying them back?
When you get the chance, also check on the success thread, there have been much success with Barclaycard, although some are resolved through the FOS, just keep at them.;)
Good luck to everyone and fingers crossed we all get justice! :TThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Mornin all,
Glad to hear you're feeling better Di.
I was doing some (much needed) sorting and destroying old papers yesterday, It's a good job I read them because I came across 4 letters dated from 05/06 stating that the PPI had been cancelled as per my request. I had forgotten all about these, even though I have been claiming against LTSB.
Obviously the reasons will be the same for reclaiming for them all, pre-existing conditions and not working, but I have a problem. 2 of them are Goldfish and Morgan Stanley credit cards, both companies have now been taken over by Barclaycard, who do I write to to get the ball rolling and does anyone have the addresses, please.
All help and advice gratefully received.

OH's just got off the phone from the Cooperative and I'm fuming to say the least!
He asked about his PPI and the bloke said he'd ring him back, he did and OH went off on one.
8 week deadline was up on Monday and we've heard nothing, when OH rang they said he would now receive a letter every FOUR MONTHS letting him know the status of the reclaim!!
I've been onto the ombudsman website and requested forms as I feel thats ridiculous!!

Hi first time here, not sure if i am in right place.
I could do with some help. I had to sell my house before it was repossed in 2007. My husband had a mortgage with Abbey and 2nd mortgage with Kensington. When we sold the house we paid every thing out of the proceeds. My question is our 2nd mortgage was in mine and my husbands name although i did not have the first morgage as it was just in my husbands name. How can i have a 2nd mortgage? I have been trying to contact Kensington in trying to claim charges again i do not know what i am doing as i can not find the orginal agreement only a letter with the breakdown of alot of charges boosting a
£ 39,000 loan to £49,000. Can anyone advise me on what to do. Thank you!0 -

Hi Karen and thank you.;) Hope your well too.
I would contact Barclays and ask if they hold all the information on you, as from the start of when you taken this out, I assumed that all the info would have been passed over to them.
Address thread here as well in case there are many of them, good luck Karen, let us know how you get on and if any problems.

Hi hun
It's good to get it off your chest.;)
It can be very frustrating I know.
But you have done the right thing by taking this to the FOS, I would be inclined to send a completed copy to the Co Op as well, this may make them think, good luck and please keep us posted. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Antony
Good one.:T
If you have a few mis sold ppi with the same provider, just write all the account numbers down on one letter, if they all have the same reasons for how they were all mis sold to you.
However, you do not require to write down the amount on the letters, even though by having these calculations will come in handy later on, if you need to refer to them, such as an offer etc.;)
If your ready to reclaim on the PPI now they have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them, in the final response they should give you details of the FOS, if your not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
Post by recorded delivery, good luck and ask for help when required.
