    Hi weeang

I take it this was the final response from RBS?

If so and they have suggested the FOS, then I would then move this on to the FOS, you have a higher chance of the FOS resolving this for you.
You can download a complaints form on the FOS website, or ring them to arrange for them to post this out to you, and remember as well to enclose copies of correspondence from RBS with the complaints form.
    I would go for it.;)

There are many that go this direction after, if the business your complaining about does not resolve in your favour, it generally goes in your favour with the FOS, good luck. X

142.23 of your repayments would have been towards your PPI.

    12500 divided by 72500 = 17.24%

    17.24% of the repayments are ppi so 17.24% of £825.00 = £142.23.

You would get back how ever many PPI payments you have made towards the loan in a cheque and then the loan redone without the PPI. Don't know how much the repayments would reduce though as it does not work out by just taking the 142.23 off them???

Thanks Marshalka. Would we get the 8% or any other compensation in addition to this. Do you think the new repayments would make a big difference once the loan is restructured?
    Thanks :D

Yes you should get the 8% if the FSCS works in the same way as fos as that is what I am assuming. As regards the repayments then they should reduce a fair bit too as the total of your PPI (if the loan went to full term) would have cost you 142.23 times how ever many months the loan was over in the first place so if you have made say 15 repayments then you would get 2133.45 back as a cheque (and 8% statutory interest) and the remaining PPI and interest would be taken off the balance owing on the loan and then the loan redone.

I think I get it. :T I have paid 24 repayments to date.
Am I right in thinking that I will get 142.23 x 24 (Plus 8%) back.
What I have had repaid back will be deducted from 12.500 and the balance of whatever this is will be deducted from my loan and the loan restructured.

For example if I were to get 4000 back FSCS would then have to take 8.500 (plus interest) off the loan balance.

Maths was never my subject!!!:o X

    Dialysis,
I honestly don't know. I would assume that a lot of the donkey work has already been done given that Picture have been pending defualt for over 5 months.

Deliotte are a commercial outfit and therefore far more efficient than the FSCS, however the best laid plans and all that.

At the very least you should be able to use this news to buy some breathing space..

    Cheers
    Gumbi
