Did Natalie6999 not have the same problem with her M&S agreement.
Like you have said give the FOS a ring and see what they say
I rang FOS a couple of weeks ago & they are now considering all PPI complaints whether regulated or not, I have just completed my complaint form & am awaiting a reply.0 -

Let us know how you get on as this may help others0 -
I sent my PPI claim to egg and they said that they couldn't find the phonecall - convient hey?! they refused to payout so I sent it to the Financial O and after just over a year it is finally being looked at. When I spoke to them they told me the PPI didn't even cover loss of job when egg told me one of the reasons why I had to take it out on the loan was because I could lose my job...jokers!? can't wait to see what the outcome is?!I am DEBT - FREE!?!?0

You had to buy it upfront so you loaned the money (more debt) to pay for this policy so both the ppi and loan that you originally had are on the agreement. If you ask to be put back into the position as if you never had the PPI and 8% statutory interest on top (as you were deprived of the money) then that will be ok.
It is best though to do your own letter with your own reasons for misselling.
thankyou so much for your reply! that has helped me so much! thanks!
just one more question,i'm now thinking of calling them up to cancel the ppi on the loan,if i do,& i do send this letter as well today, will that affect any decision they make on weather to give me my money back or not because i've changed the policy? thanks again!:beer:0 -

Hello all
Not had the time to come on for a while, still no news on my complaints with FOS, nine months and counting. Could be another nine months by the accounts on here.
Is it true the FOS are now considering all single premium policies as mis-sold?
If they are this is fantastic news(both my complaints with the FOS are about single premium polices) for claimers who are claiming mis-selling on this basis and hopefully companies will settle these claims without needing to go to the FOS in future.0 -

the fos are considering all front loaded ppi as mis sold, this is where the ppi is put on at the start of the loan and you pay it back over the whole term of the loan ,but you only have 5 years or less cover, good luck with yours and keep us posted
Thanks for that.
Thats my complaint to a tee. front loaded added to loan and only lasted five years when the loan term was twenty years0 -
