PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

I have rang A&L this morning from showergirls house. They have told me that I have not yet had a caseworker look into my complaint. I asked when this would be and the girl said she would look at the spreadsheet. She told me that it would go to a caseworker next week and I should have a reply by next Friday. I asked her if this was good news or not she said that she did not know and I would have to wait for their letter.
Could anyone shed some light on this for me as showergirl was given the name of her caseworker straight away when she was claiming against Tesco and one of the hold ups with hers it that they had to get her files.
Do A&L not have to get my files together before they decide what to do with my claim0 -

Hi hun, hope your well.
I know its frustrating on waiting for news on your case, well hopefully they should get this out to you by the deadline date of 8 weeks or sooner with some good news fingers crossed.;)
Basically I think as soon as your case has been passed on, you could actually call them to find out the name of the person dealing with this for you, do this next week as they did confirm it would be next week.
They will look into all the facts and investigate from when this was sold to you, if this was arranged on the telephone they should be able to track this down as well for you, if the sale was past 14 Jan 2005 and onwards.
You could however, write to them and ask for the telephone recordings if it was sold this way, this would be useful.
Hopefully the result will be a good one, but please do not worry if it is not at this stage, because another letter can be sent as a normal procedure, then the final letter, should give you details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can go to these if your not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
Keep your chin up hun, all will work out in the end.;) Fingers crossed X

Hi, I have read through a lot of the threads and tried a search but cannot find an answer so hoped someone may be able to help.
I took out a loan with Bank of Scotland, this was reassigned to MBNA in 2006, the loan is now paid off. Question is do I submit my letter to Bank of Scotland or MBNA. I have the original paperwork.
Also I had a prior loan with BOS and think I may have taken the second and cleared the balance of the first with it. Both had lump sum Ins of around £3500 added. I do not have the paperwork for the first loan so have prepared an SAR leter also.
If anyone can help with where it would be best to send these, thanks in advance.
Good luck to all claimers.BOS - 2 x Loan PPI 14/11/09upheld 5505.62 + 591.72 Barclays - 31/03 Loan PPI & Overdraft PPI Upheld £28000

Hi there
I would write to BOS, or maybe write to both, just address them to their own addresses and make them aware that you have wrote to both, this way you have covered both ends, unless someone confirms otherwise.

Good luck and please post for help when required, remember as well to send all letters by recorded delivery, as this is your proof of posting.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there dwales.;)
Thanks for posting back.
I must agree with Marshallka (Thanks Marshallka);), I personally think its a low standard offer, I would ask if they could reconsider either offering a more reasonable amount, or better still you still believe this was mis sold and want the whole lot plus the interest refunded directly back to you (to your mum).
If they do not, you always have the FOS to turn to, give it a go if you want to, good luck and please let us know.
Do you know the answers to the points i raised at the bottom of my last thread? I have spoken to RBS and they tell me that this is their final offer. They also tell me that they nor Natwest have been found to have mis-sold PPI so are confident they will win!!!!0 -
di3004, thanks for the reply. I have prepared letters with both names on so will get them out recorded today.
Will let you know how I get on : )BOS - 2 x Loan PPI 14/11/09upheld 5505.62 + 591.72 Barclays - 31/03 Loan PPI & Overdraft PPI Upheld £28000

Hi there;), just went back, to have a look, and me personally would go to the FOS, its up to you, but that is a standard low offer.
You can if you want to if you decide to want to go this direction, ring the FOS for a complaints form, or download online and print, also enclose copies of correspondence:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
I would let the FOS decide who to win, I think this is a generally good case myself and they are fobbing off - in hope the offer is agreed and that you will not take this any further, keep this going if you can, I'm sure the FOS will sort it out XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there, good one on your success.
If your a client of the CCCS or payplan etc, maybe post on the Debtfreewannabe thread, with Lloyds to what I have read if there is a loan or finance still active, they do tend to do it this way, but I would also make sure on this one by posting on the thread stated, good luck and well done to you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
