Hi Sparky, hope your well and its good to hear from you.;)

If this loan was taken out the last 5 or 6 years, they really should not provide the details, as they ask on these questionaires, they should still hold the details of your account on their systems, where-as many have wrote back and enclosed the questionaire uncompleted and stated that "I enclose the questionaire, but have not completed the questions, due to the fact that I believe you should hold the details of when you arranged and sold me the finance".
    Something along those lines.

However if its gone past say 6 years, they may no longer hold the details, where the questionaire may need completing.

Its entirely up to you if you want to complete this, and many say its a stalling tactic.
They must still deal with your complaint by 8 weeks.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck and keep us posted, cheers.;)

    Thanks Di,
It's for credit card PPI, taken out over the internet 2 years ago, so I think I'll follow your advice & send it back with the statement, "you already have all the relevant facts, & I am now taking my claim to the FOS", and see if that moves them ;)

Sorry hun, forgot to ask how you were! how rude of me!!. How are you?

From what I can see they all try and make claims difficult, so I would tend to press on.

For example, Egg stopped my credit card when they found out I was working abroad, so I put in a PPI claim. Usual delaying tactics of blah blah letters. So I sent the follow up letter saying that if they did not reply, etc, using the template here.

You will love the next bit. They sent me an email with a voice recording of the original selling. of course, they made that difficult also, you had to get a password from then and you had to do this and that.

Anyway, when I opened the voicefile, you could here me saying that I was in Belgium working abroad. She pressed ahead with the sale without even checking my ID or secure passwords. So she sold me a poilicy knowing that i was working abroad on 6 month Contracts, and the insurance does not cover these. So I sent them a further letter and email today.

So what I am saying is press on as far as you can and always threaten the Ombudsman, etc.

    Hi everyone

Can anyone give me some advice.

My friend at work sent a letter off to A and L, to claim her ppi off her credit card. She has received a letter back saying they have passed it on to MBNA who deal with the credit cards. Is this correct and has anyone had any success from MBNA.

I may not get back on tonight but if anyone could give any advice I will log on tomorrow.

    Hope everyone is well

    Hi There

Yes I have claimed back two CC PPI's with A and L and they both were passed through MBNA they have both paid out within specified time by the FOS.

    Morning di,
I didn't fill in the questionnaire, instead I put the polcy number on it and wrote in one of the boxes

"You have all the relevant information, when I sent my original claim on the 22/01/2009, I am now taking my claim to the FOS"

6 months is some delaying tactic wouldn't you think lol

    Hello,

I took PPI with a loan about 9 years ago and was told i had to take it or i wouldn't get accepted. As it so happens I lost my job and didn't claim. Now 9 years down the line i'm still paying for the loan with an aggreement with the bank as the loan went to debt collectors and they eventually found me, so i pay a small amount i can afford each month.

Do i have a case as evidently the insurance didn't work or was even any use??
