    thanks for your replies.

on the letter that they have sent they have broken it down:-

a total monthly premiums from date until loan was repaid £187 20

    b) rebate adjustment £237.40

    c) total refund a +b = £424.60

    d) interest on toal refund payable until 31 may 2009 106.27

    e) total c +d £530.87

so would i still be entitled to further interest or do you think i am wasting my time

    thanks again

    Hello all,
Back in 2004 we were sold a lump sum PPI costing over £7,500 for 5 years on a remorgage (we payed off the remorgage in 2006) we were told it was optional but then told by the guy that because of our situation that by taking out this policy it would, grease the wheels with the lender!. i have writtin to the lender (Swift Advances) who have told me twice that although it is there own policy because it was sold through a broker we have no right to reclaim any money. any ideas guys?
    Thanks from a Moneysaving newbie!

Swift advances- Im on with them for my Mum they are awful. We have complained about PPI because my mum had medical and employment reasons why miss sold. Her loan was only dated 2007. They came back with the same rubbish they did to you; something about a broker and they dissagree it was miss sold. I sent the complaint off to the FOS last week because the 8 weeks were up il keep you posted if they will deal with it. I have put that swift are the people shes complaining about in the FOS forms because they were who she spoke to.

Tell you what else is shocking about their loans. My mums was a tracker rate loan/remortgage. The terms and conditions say the interest will fluctuate with the BOE base rate. As you all know thats fallen rapidly in the last 12months. But.... swift advances are not passing on the savings. They have a clause in their terms and conditions which basically says they can charge whatever interest they please. dodgy dodgy dodgy
MY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

    Hi everyone

Can anyone give me some advice.

My friend at work sent a letter off to A and L, to claim her ppi off her credit card. She has received a letter back saying they have passed it on to MBNA who deal with the credit cards. Is this correct and has anyone had any success from MBNA.

I may not get back on tonight but if anyone could give any advice I will log on tomorrow.

    Hope everyone is well

    Hi showergirl how are you?;)

They may be passing the buck, as A&L arranged this didn't they?

Maybe your mate could still write to MBNA and enclose a copy of the letter she received from A&L and see what they have to say, or another idea is that she can ring the FOS customer dept and ask them.;)

I think there have been success with MBNA Showergirl not sure how high the rate is though, but know there have been some on here.

    Tell your mate good luck.:A;)XXX

    Hi

I got exactly the same letter from RBS about the £750 goodwill gesture!! Must admit I'm tempted to 'take the money & run'
I calculated that I would receive approx £1750. They did exactly the same with me at 8 weeks they needed more info and then said that I was not entitled. I was beginning to doubt that I was entitled to anything before I got a response as even though it was a single policy, it was clearly shown seperately. When I cancelled the insurance nearly a year ago, the payments did not decrease to the main loan repayment (still paying an extra £15) when I complained they said that it was because i'd paid the bulk of the insurance up front.

do not take the good will gesture. rbs are settling all claims in full if you send to the FOS. I was told this by the departement they have set up in manchester. I got mine back in full with all the interest and statutory. They are offering goodwill so they dont have to pay back full whack.
