Nat west also have a nasty habit of not giving you the option not to take it as most of you on here will already know.

What is the address i have to send my first template letter to please

Nat west but which one there are lots of different addresses

    Hi there

If you need help with going through calculations please feel free to post in the above reclaiming discussion thread, I am sure someone will take a look at them for you.
Turbo when he has time will more than likely be happy to take a look.

I agree there are many addresses to this company, but hopefully someone can confirm which one, maybe you could ask this on the success thread also above, as there are many there who have had success with these.;)

We have since been made an offer from RBS for
Loan 1 £616.30 (this was repayed early)
    Loan 2 £750.00

They said that they have not been able to uphold our concerns but as a gesture of goodwill and without any admission of liability they have made the above offers.

They said we can go to the ombudsman if are not satisfied.

Not sure what to do now. Sorry this is a long post i thought i would try to get all the details i could.

    Thanks in advance.
with the rbs, i would not accept the offer of goodwill, they do not offer money unless they think you have a good chance of winning mis sell, you write back to them and say you are not happy with this and would they reconsider and let them know if you do not get any satisfaction you will take this to fos, good luck with this and please keep us posted, they are hoping people will accept goodwill payments and it will save them some money, you go for it and show them you mean business!!

Hi all dont suppose any one got any news about there claim from FSCS with regards to Picture we getting desperate now with regards to letters of repossession. I spoke to FSCS a while back but they cannot do anything until Picture declared in default. I dont know if it will do any good but I sent an email to my local MP with my complaint against Picture but not heard anything yet. It seems to be going on forever just want to know what is happening. Hope we here soon.

    Hi Dialysis

There was some posts on the other thread next to this one about Picture, however, it seems like everyone are still waiting - unfortunately, but with a bit of luck it will be soon, good luck.;)

I have a claim against Picture and have had a similar reply from FSCS, they can't give me any time schedule when they will be able to look into my claim. My guess is that it could be months before Picture have being fully investigated and then the FSCS have to decide if the claim is valid under their criteria (whatever that is). My concern is that I am managing my debts now, but it is looking highly likely that my husband will be laid off, and with only me working, I will only be able to afford to pay the mortgage, but not Picture. Does anyone know what happens in this type of situation, as there is no available equity in the house? Also, as I will continue to pay my main mortgage lender - do Picture still have a right to repossess? As my loan is in dispute, do you think that this may be a mitigating circumstance?

Hi Mammamia I am in same situation having lost my job through ill health we cannot afford to pay picture and havent done for months. We have had the repossession letters although proceedings havent started yet. I asked the same question on here about mitigating circumstances and the good people on here seem to think that having an issue with picture may go in our favour not too sure though. As far as I am aware even if you pay your mortgage picture can repossess maybe someone on here will come along and know more. I hope you here before that happens though as it is a terrible situation to be in and the not knowing when it will happen is so unfair when non of this is our fault. Hope things work out for you
  • Hello everyone, I could do with some advice about my ppi claim with RBS.
The financial ombudsman wrote to me in December to tell me my claim for refund had been accepted and RBS had agreed to make a payment so the case was closed. I still haven't received a settlement and its now June. I keep ringing RBS but am continually fobbed off...calculation is difficult...need to speak to branch manager.... need to do this, that and the other....get my drift? Seems there are about 300 of us waiting for a payout. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do about the situation? I ring the FOS weekly and tell them I'm still waiting and they then email the bank. We seem to be going round in circles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Kaz

Blimey this just isn't on is it???

So sorry to hear this and how pathetic this is of them stalling paying out!

With one of mine not with the same company, even though it was being dealt with by the FOS, as it seemed like ages we were waiting for the payout after this was resolved, we asked the one who was dealing with our case with the FOS if we could send the company a letter before action, also known as a LBA, they accepted it, just as long as they had a copy, as they like to also be updated as well.

I do not have that LBA, wish I kept hold of it, because before the 14 days they did actually pay out, so think the letter did help, unless it was just a coincidence.

It was basically a letter to give them about 14 days at the most to pay out or we would consider court action, but as the letter was given to me by someone from another site, it was a great letter and I'm sure this did the trick.

I had to show this by email attachment to the ombudsman first, and if they agreed with it, they give the go ahead.

I do hope you hear soon and maybe ask the FOS should you send them a letter before action letter.
    Good luck.;)

    Hello all,
Back in 2004 we were sold a lump sum PPI costing over £7,500 for 5 years on a remorgage (we payed off the remorgage in 2006) we were told it was optional but then told by the guy that because of our situation that by taking out this policy it would, grease the wheels with the lender!. i have writtin to the lender (Swift Advances) who have told me twice that although it is there own policy because it was sold through a broker we have no right to reclaim any money. any ideas guys?
    Thanks from a Moneysaving newbie!

    Hi

I got exactly the same letter from RBS about the £750 goodwill gesture!! Must admit I'm tempted to 'take the money & run'
I calculated that I would receive approx £1750. They did exactly the same with me at 8 weeks they needed more info and then said that I was not entitled. I was beginning to doubt that I was entitled to anything before I got a response as even though it was a single policy, it was clearly shown seperately. When I cancelled the insurance nearly a year ago, the payments did not decrease to the main loan repayment (still paying an extra £15) when I complained they said that it was because i'd paid the bulk of the insurance up front.

    Hi there

    And welcome.;)

So you were told it were optional but also told that if you taken it out then you would then have the loan with no problem - more or less, so in another words if you don't take on the PPI, you may not get the loan?

Write to them, (the ones who arranged this for you) and complain, here below is a template letter) but write your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.

Another letter maybe required, keep on at them until you receive the final response, where detailals of the financial ombudsman service (FOS) should be given.

Post by recorded delivery, good luck.
