I am onto London Scottish, another one for my mum same situation she was only working few hours week and she had depression. I have had a reply back dated early May saying they are investigating but............the letter head says London Scottish in administration!!! The letter promised a completed investigation with 2weeks but guess what no reply. Bit worried now they in admin. Anyone know the score??? any success??
Cheers all
Hi hun
I hate it when that happens........
So it looks as if you will have to put a claim in within the insolvency service then of that actual company?
And maybe register with the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS)
http://www.fscs.org.uk/
You can also check the direct details of whom to write to by searching on Companies house search, although the search link closed at mid night, you can check tomorrow, it should be available then.

Cheers. Im unsure how to go about it. My mum still has an outstanding balance with them and is happy to just reduce the outstanding balance but who do i go to and how do i get it officially resolved now. If a company you are complaining about has gone into admin before you complain can the FOS resolve? Do they liase with the team of administrators? She wants to get debt free etc n sort out credit rating so just stopping paying aint and option. how blooming inconvenient eh lol.
I know with my own welcome finance claim i was told if they went bust now i could claim from some fund but that claim had been in 12months before the admin rumour started .......MY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

Awesome cheers Di. This Saga gets even more ridiculous. My mum got a letter this morning in reply to the complaint. Saying they will refund the money but it will have to come off the outstanding balance as they are in administration (thats ok we dont mind) but to contact a company called "go debt" who apparently now own the debt.......
My mum has just rang "go debt" who say they dont own the debt and never have done and when they checked some records my mums debt is showing written off when they went into administration !!!!!!!!! Currently my mum has been making payments to some solicitors called "Christopher Pinnion" who are an intermediatory for some company who buys debt. Mum says though that when she spoke to Chris pinnion co last week they didnt know London Scottish were even in administartion?? Unfortunately they are shut until monday so i cant chase ... Whats going on! where are the payments going and how does my ol queen get her ppi removed off the loan balance??? If there is a loan balance!!!!? gee wizzMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

Your welcome
That's a strange one isn't it ?
So where are the payments going? odd.....
And I take it your mum has no paperwork to show this on statements etc?
Maybe worth you checking with the financial compensation scheme as well, in case they have them listed with them, if this is the case, they should send out a form to be completed.
I have just checked with the FSCS on their site and according to them London Scottish are declared in default, so I would defo contact them, good luck.
http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/default_information/default.aspx
Default information
Firms declared in default
You can search our database to see if the firm you are making enquiries about has already been declared in default by FSCS. This means that FSCS is satisfied that it is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it. A declaration of default opens the way for the firm's customers to make a claim for compensation to us.
Firm Name:- London Scottish Bank Plc
If a firm is included in this database, it has been declared in default by us and you should contact us if you wish to make a claim.
FSCS will declare a firm in default if:- it has received at least one eligible claim against it, and the customer has made a financial loss;
- we are satisfied that the firm is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it. We will investigate the firm's financial position to establish this.

Very complicated.
However, I do have a claim within the FSCS in regards of another company, they were taken over for a short time by another company, but I was told that it had to be the ones that went into administration or liquidated - where-as then the FSCS, so it may be the same case as well for your mum, especially if the finance was originally through them as in London Scottish.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Give the FSCS a call on Monday if you get the chance to.
Tell them you want to put a claim in on behalf of your mum, they will then arrange to send the forms through the post.;)
Definately worth giving it a go, I think this is probably the best action to take, as they seem to be registered with the FSCS anyway.
Good luck XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi got a letter to day from FSA stating that the adjudicator recommends Egg makes a settlement to me. Good news i hope, however will they pay or will they take it to the ombudsman, they have till 6th May to respond. Anyone know what will happen now??
thanks

Hi there
This can vary as there can be a queing system, but if your currently suffering hardship, provide details and ask if they are able to "fast track" this for you.
They will consider this if this is the case, for example, mortgage arrears......late payments, it all helps for consideration.
Other than that as stated it can vary, it may be a few weeks, or longer, but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later, as they do suddenly seem to be moving on quicker than before, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
