sorry i know i sound stupid, sorry
if ocean finance is the broker but the paperwork has ge money on it. who is at fault? letter is sent to broker:confused:

Always go back to the broker, as they arranged it.;)

Sometimes finance is dealt with directly by the lender, so you have done the right thing sending your letter to the broker, this is what the Financial ombudsman would tell you to do as well.
    So not to worry.;)
lol its not stupid, we have all been there and this have been confusing in who to pursue for a claim.

  • Hi
    Three questions:
    1. I asked my bank for a copy of the loans I've had from them on 23/03. I only received these this week. How long do they have to subit these?
    2. Once I write asking to reclaim, how long do they have until they respond?
    3. I closed one of my policies, and ended up taking out a new loan. Will I be refunded the full ammount of insurance off that policy (approx £1600), or is the insurance closed off from when I closed the loan, meaning I only get a % of that ammount

    Thanks for your help

Thank you EllBee for all your help and support it helps just to know that someone else has been going through simular to me... Hope you have success very soon...
    Good-luck

You're very welcome and I agree, it does help to know someone else is going through the same thing. I often look at the successes just to give me a bit of hope and to see that some people are successful in their claims!! They say patience is a virtue..........

    Hiya everyone,
Long time no post, I'm doing the PPI reclaim from Barclaycard, and they have written to me twice now over a timescale of about 12 weeks, this week I have received a nother letter with a questionnaire in, should I fill this in, as I have already stated the reason I beleive it was mis-sold was the fact that I get 2 years death in service pay & 2 years sickness benefit from my employer, I have a good mind just to put in the questionnaire that they have all the relevant facts.

    Once again thanks in advance

    Hi there

If you requested for a copy of the CCA (agreement), if you enclose a payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment, they should supply by 12 days, if they cannot do this for any reason, they should write to let you know and return your payment.
Did you post by recorded delivery?

If you requested for a Full SAR (Subject access request) and enclosed the payment of £10 postal order or cheque payment, they have 40 days to comply.

In regards of PPI reclaiming, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

If a loan is closed if you've not make a claim for example for sickness and or unemployment, they should repay you the full amount of PPI paid, plus the interest and you can request for the extra interest of 8% of what a court would award.

Hope this helps, good luck and post up for help when required.;)

Hi Sparky, hope your well and its good to hear from you.;)

If this loan was taken out the last 5 or 6 years, they really should not provide the details, as they ask on these questionaires, they should still hold the details of your account on their systems, where-as many have wrote back and enclosed the questionaire uncompleted and stated that "I enclose the questionaire, but have not completed the questions, due to the fact that I believe you should hold the details of when you arranged and sold me the finance".
    Something along those lines.

However if its gone past say 6 years, they may no longer hold the details, where the questionaire may need completing.

Its entirely up to you if you want to complete this, and many say its a stalling tactic.
They must still deal with your complaint by 8 weeks.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck and keep us posted, cheers.;)
