PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

hi di,
i have had a good think about ppi claiming, with the credit cards i think i applyed on line, so poss ticked the box stating i wont it.
but still have charges to claim back, but have no statments, i think i'm looking at about £80/100 in sar letters!!!!!!!
hoefully will have more money to come back.
I would write to them if you have not and just ask if they can supply you with information on the charges etc, someone had asked their provider and they were lucky to have them sent free of charge, if this is all your asking for, give it a go but other than that it would be a SAR request.
On the charges, it may be a good idea to post on the Credit Card charges thread here:

They will give you more of an idea of what to do here, I have not got to my charges yet, only on PPI reclaiming on credit card.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Good one and of course, its always best to keep everything in writing, in case you need to refer to this later on, so always keep copies, and of course if you wanted to take this further, such as with the Financial ombudsman service who are a free service (if eligible) or your own direction for example small claims courts etc, you have everything in front of you in "black and white".
Its a possibility that you may have been fobbed off, as you asked verbally, so you go for it Pammie, good luck.;) There's a lot of money there ! XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
i'm not sure now if i have a ppi claim or not (reading the papers). customer declaration states --that i have read the summary of the cover and aggree to the conditions etc---also witnessed by our friend! ( GE MONEY).
should i forget this one ?I SPOKE TO A WISE OLD MAN THE OTHER DAY.

Even so, you may still have a claim, and there are many reasons why people have been mis sold, not to forget that these declarations are standard.
How long was your loan for?
If this loan was say for example over 10 years, and the cover was only that of 5 years, then what ? you will still be paying for the cover for 10 years, and not covered for the remainder of the 5 years.
There are lots more reasons............
Did you manage to check out the link here which may give you an idea.;)

Also check this here, these are just some of the reasons:
Mis-selling checklist
If you can answer ‘no’ to one or more of these questions, then you may have been mis-sold PPI.- If the insurance was optional, was that made clear to you?
- Did the adviser tell you about any significant exclusions under the policy – for example, the exclusion that says you won't be covered for any pre-existing medical condition?
- If you took out a loan or finance agreement, did the adviser make it clear that you would have to pay for the insurance up front in one single payment?
- If you had to pay for the PPI as a single payment, did the adviser make it clear that the insurance cost would be added to the loan and you would be paying interest on it?
- Single premium PPI insurance normally only lasts for 5 years. If your loan or finance agreement was for longer than this, did the adviser make it clear that the insurance would run out before you had finished paying for your loan or finance agreement? The adviser should also have told you that you would continue to pay interest on the insurance premium, even after the insurance expired.

We have all signed the declarations, but there were still rules/guidelines they have to follow, so you still have a chance, now if successful as your loan is paid up, they should refund you all you have paid on the PPI, plus the interest etc......The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
