thanks so much rosemahairy- i did write to marbles at first (sent recorded delivery) but this letter today from Halifax just threw me so i did get on the phone. Will now definitely check if marbles were on the fsa list and will send a letter as you have advised. Thanks again for your knowledge and advice!!!
Its maybe that marbles are owned by Halifax? I successfully claimed my ppi and cr card charges from Aqua credit card who are also owned by halifax card services it confused me too at first when my correspondence was from a new company lol.I had success with Halifax but i needed to be persistent and it didnt need to go as far as the FO they settled after a few letters chasing... good luckMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

Just noticed pinknicos post. Marbles are owned by HFC bank. hmmmm not sure why you have a letter from halifax then must be something else that. good news though i have had success claiming ppi from HFC bank too they settled as a 'goodwill' gesture after i complained about them to the FO. HFC are like RBS they have an agreement with the FO where they are settling without going as far as an adjudicator (good for the little people) still takes few month though. My reasoning behind it is that they are avoiding further investigation and fines?? Make sure u check the refund amount is right i wouldnt trust them to get it right especially the statutory interest awardMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

No they aint. HFC sold their credit card portfolio last year. It was called Project Aviemore. Some cards went to HBOS, some to MBNA - others went to but I dont know where. HBOS basically now own your accout. There would have been a right of transfer in your credit agreement allowing them to do this.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

no idea what my nerdnumber is - i am now officially nerd 229, no idea on my debt free date0 -

I will let you know as soon as I receive my money
Good luck with your claim. It has took me 6 months to get this far so be prepared for a long wait.0 -

They do stop you 20% tax from the interest, but I am checking this out as it may be wrong to deduct it from Goodwill payments.
When my HMRC colleague gets back to me I will let you know.0 -

The 8% interest that we get on our PPI refund has 20% tax deducted when you receive your cheque, Fos isn't sure if this is correct, so I have contacted a colleague who is a specialist on these matters, when I get an answer I will send Fos the information who will contact Tesco.
I will let you know when I get this information.0
