Hi there
Well done to you.:beer::T:beer:
Unfortunately this seems to be the case here, but you can always try.
There is no harm in asking, good luck.;)
thanks for your reply! I'll fire off a letter to them today, would something along the lines of the ppi is unrelated to my credit card debt, and therefore should be refunded by cheque rather than to the balance as I shouldn't have been charged this anyway?
I'm just clutching at straws here!96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -

Hiya,
Just spoke to EGG regarding offsetting my refund against loan balance. They said this is their procedure and that FOS are aware of this. So I have just spoken to FOS and logged a complaint along the lines of that if they hadn't mis-sold the PPI they would never have had that money to start with.:mad:
So now it is the waiting game. How long does this usually take? Worth the wait I suppose!
Thanks

Hi there,
Just after another bit of advice....again!
I've received a letter from Cap One regarding ppi on credit card, they've agreed to refund, although it wasn't mis-sold apparently!
I am so pleased with the result, not a huge amount of money, but badly needed all the same.
Only question i have is, they state in the letter it will be refunded to my Cap One account. I don't want this as they sold my account to a debt agency and its no longer with them!
Am I allowed to state that I accept their offer of a refund, but would like it payable by cheque?
Thanks0 -
Okay an update on my hubby's earlier Credit Card PPI 2001, I posted some time ago that the case of 2007 was resolved through the FOS, unfortunately LLoyds have ignored the Adjudicators to get back with a decision, the deadline has passed, so today my hubby received a letter from the Adjudicator that its now passed on, or waiting to be passed on to the Ombudsman.
The Adjudicator did Uphold.........so here goes:
Lloyds TSB did not respond, despite a reminder, so the complaint will be referred to an Ombudsman for a Final Decision, any further points or information please write by 6 May 2009.
Lloyds TSB should put Mr XXXXX back into the position he would have been in if he had not taken out the PPI policy, this will involve working out the amount required to place the Credit Card account of the premiums demanded in respect of the PPI and any interest and charges on the account in so far as they relate to those premiums.
The firm should refund the sum calculated to Mr XXXXX (Together with an explanation of how it was calculated), it should pay £100 in respect of the distress and inconvenience Mr XXXXX has suffered.
(oops think I should have posted this on the success thread - although not a success as yet) lol.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks for your reply. My way of thinking was that if they hadn't been adding the ppi on per month, then I would have been able to keep on top of the minimum payments, and therefore would not have gone into arrears.
I suppose I won't lose anything by trying.96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -
Update with regards to hubbys claim, got three letters today from RBS (2 loans, 1 credit card) saying still investigating that can go to FOS in meantime but can they have a bit longer to look into claims and hope to have a result soon. Think will leave it a couple of weeks longer and if have heard nothing will send another letter to them chasing a response.Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0
