I had a letter from alliance and leicester about misselling ppi insurance on a car loan i had several years ago, and the letter said did i want them to investigate my case, so i said yes.
I got a letter back eventually stating that they would reimburse me 445 for the amount i had paid for the insurance, that when i paid the loan off early they had miscalculated the amount i owed for insurance and therefore owed me further money and in addition to this they offered me interest at a rate of 8%, therefore they have offered me £923, absolutely gobsmacked!Mortgage free wannabe!:
11/11/08 - £137,674 ----> 09/01/12 - £131,432 :j0 -
Hi Di, it's now a month since I was fast-tracked by the FOS - do you think there's any merit in chasing them again or would that be over-optimistic?Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Hi there
This is great news, well done to you.:T:beer::TThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi, hope your hayfever's a bit better today.
I got a letter back from TPF, thanking me for my letter of complaint! Came back via return of post, so very quick. Generic customer service letter with standard complaints leaflet. They've referred my letter to their specialist PPI "concerns" office in Manchester, so will wait to hear from them. But the 8-week clock is ticking!!They claim their PPI team will contact me within five days to confirm receipt of my complaint. So far, so very good customer service. Pity the PPI wasn't good customer service when they allegedly mis-sold it to me!! :rolleyes:
Get well soon!:A

Thanks Pinknico- presumably it was just a holding letter to confirm they'd received your complaint?

Yes, I wrote to both TPF and RBS Manchester as I had dealt with RBS before and RBS responded saying hope to have dealt with complaint in 4 weeks (yeah right!) but if not would write and say why not and than take another 4 weeks.DS1 12/10/04

Thanks for your reply. My way of thinking was that if they hadn't been adding the ppi on per month, then I would have been able to keep on top of the minimum payments, and therefore would not have gone into arrears.
I suppose I won't lose anything by trying.0 -
Hey
Im trying to sort my mum out now. Shes been ripped off by Black Horse with PPI. I have wrote to them and they say they wont do anything because they were not Regulated by the FSA at the point of sale. I have double checked the FSA register and it is correct they were not. Is it just straight to the small claims court with this then? Has anyone had any experience of taking PPI claims to small claims court yet?
CheersMY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing
