Hi there, just received an offer from capital one on the ppi on my credit card, which i am willing to accept, however i would prefer the money paid direct to me (debt is now with dca, not capital one) anyone had any experience with this? Any advice would be really appreciated x

Thanks amersall, I have sent them a quick letter just requesting that they pay the amount direct to myself, no harm in trying i suppose, they can only say no!0

I'd just like to echo showgirls post this morning - you all do a great job of helping people in their early days of PPI reclaiming so please don't fight amoungst yourselves.
Also, as someone mentioned a few days ago - please do also try and keep the chat to a minimum in this thread. It gets long so quicky! If you'd like me to create a sticky for day to day discussion then i can do that if it'd help.*** Get the Martin's Money Tips Free E-mail at www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips ***0 -
Hello everyone
Hope all are okay today.
Do you all think we can get back to normal just like it used to be when I first used to post, pretty please, could we all kiss and make up maybe ?:kisses3:
Its a shame to see us all falling out where we can all work together just like we used to, and of course newbies feel more comfortable as well.
I am feeling okay and will feel even better if we can all be friends.
I understand there may be words of regret said by many, but we can all pull through this and work together.
There are very knowledgable people on here, I will name a few but the list will go on, so name just a couple:
Maxdp
Marshallka
Pinknico
Amersall
Showergirl
Too many to list..............so sorry if names missed.
.....................................
but we can get through it together, I'm sure we are all sorry if we have said anything we should not have said, so lets get it back to what it used to be and show the posters and newbies especially.
Come on folks please, we all used to get on so well.;)
I will beg if I have to......:o
Hope to see everyone back here soon, mates again.:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

After what has been posted this morning, it seems that we should be trusting no one as they may not appear to be who you think.
Can I urge anyone who uses this board not to give out any personal details to anyone on here, & if you need a claims company or solicitor please find them independently & thoroughly check them out before parting with any details.
I don't mean that we can't try to be friends but in this age of Internet transactions & card fraud we just can't be to careful.0 -
My husband's cousin, unfortunately was a victim of fraud, she had no protection for this either..............we had found out about this a few month back to what we've been told, she lives away as her hubby is in the army and used the computer a lot to deal with her financial matters, the next thing she knew, she checked her account and the lot was gone.
So yes wise not to give out any personal details.
My son lost his wallet a while back, he had the lot in there, money, debit and credit cards, he said it happened to quickly, but lucky enough he sorted this out straight away with the bank.
Yet his licence and national insurance details were left in his wallet, that is defo being open to fraud, he knows now not to carry all his details with him, my nephew who works for the police on that department of fraud, slapped his wrist for him.
So agreed, be careful. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I agree with you Nat. We should not give out personal details to anyone.
All we can do is ask and offer advice when needed, as you know this reclaiming lark is very frustrating at times and sometimes we just need to express ourselves, it does not mean we intend to offend anyone.
I like the way I have been promoted to show girl this will really make my partner laugh0 -
Hey ladies still havent heard anything from anyone. So not any further forward with anything really fed up... I know rome wasnt built in a day but really thought I would have heard something if anything by now.
Also going through the credit cards and noticing I did have ppi with some but not others and now it is cancelled. Need to see if I can check the small print first before I write to them so I know what I am saying.
First Plus called me on Saturday about my April payment as I have changed banks and they took this out this morning and said they would send me another dd so fingers crossed I can at least see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Will keep you posted and thanks again for all your help x:jLiving Life to the Full0
